Shift Information:
2nd shift M-F 4:00 pm - 12:00 am
3rd shift M-F 12:00 am - 8:00 am
Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned as needed
- Responsible for the prompt setup and changeover of production machines.
- Perform routine checks to verify the quality of products, record findings, and adjust equipment settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections, including minor maintenance of machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing and reinstalling them as necessary.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Assist in the quick and efficient repair of broken machines.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Must be able to work overtime with flexible hours as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Able to work safely with electricity preferred.
- Able to work with hydraulics preferred.
- The ability to read electrical and mechanical prints is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a multi-tasking atmosphere & work well in a team environment.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
- Shift differential $0.50 per hour for 2nd shift
- Shift differential $.00 per hour for 3rd shift

What You’ll Do
As part of our dynamic manufacturing team, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup time, changeovers, and equipment operation effort
- Implementing cycle time reduction strategies in bottleneck manufacturing cells
- Troubleshooting machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Modifying manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, or accommodate design changes
- Supporting financial goals through budgeting, expenditure scheduling, and project budget management
- Managing capital projects: equipment specs, runoffs, installation, and contractor coordination
- Updating and maintaining equipment and production layout drawings
- Developing engineering solutions for recurring equipment/process failures
- Identifying and delivering departmental training to boost skill levels
- Reviewing and coordinating TPM, PM, proactive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime
- Owning PFMEA, control plans, and process flows in collaboration with the Quality Engineer
- Supporting shop floor teams with problem-solving and standard work instruction development
- Managing external contractors for process and equipment improvements
- Collaborating across all levels to enhance machinery and manufacturing processes
- Leading Kaizen activities and documenting outcomes
Understanding key environmental aspects and related operational controls
What You’ll Need Essential:- 2+ years of experience in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation
- Hands-on experience with Lean Enterprise methodologies
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MfgPro, Kronos
