Pay : $18.00/hr plus differential pay of $2/hr for Saturday shift

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including filling, capping, sealing, and labeling bottles.
  • Set up, test, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Follow cGMP, SOPs, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document production activities electronically and on hard copy, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of equipment as required.
  • Assist Quality with investigations and inspections as needed.
  • Plan and execute tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain inventory.
  • Ensures a safe work environment by following all safety rules, maintaining strong safety awareness, and participating in required safety training and meetings.
  • Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs.
  • Clean the workspace and equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed and after each production run.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
  • Basic math and computer skills are necessary.
  • Must pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, fosters teamwork and collaboration among a diverse team.
  • Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
  • This position is in a cGMP area, therefore masks, lab coats, and hair/beard nets must be worn. No makeup, perfumes, acrylic or artificial nails, or jewelry allowed in cGMP work areas.
  • Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent, with 12+ months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

The ideal candidate should possess an aptitude for quickly learning new computer software and be prepared for the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The work environment may involve exposure to outdoor weather, slippery surfaces, and occasional noise. Basic mathematical skills are required, including the ability to perform calculations like percentages and proportions for problem-solving and production tasks. Candidates should be able to read and interpret company procedures, safety rules, and operational manuals, with support available for diverse communication needs. Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills are essential for navigating non-standard situations, along with the ability to interpret various types of instructions. Lastly, effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial, as candidates must listen, respond thoughtfully, and maintain professionalism in diverse situations.

What You Will Do

  • Improving reliability of converting assets by leading the development, implementation, execution, and check/adjust asset strategies for converting assets
  • Leading daily operations of converting assets within the technology center by developing operating targets and equipment setup procedures, assisting operators with troubleshooting, and reviewing root cause, ensuring assets meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost expectations and collaborating with other departments such as maintenance, quality and planning to ensure efficient operation
  • Improving longer term asset performance by understanding the business, mill, and department visions and identifying area needs to meet those objectives
  • Prioritizing opportunities and developing a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities, and leading or participating in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup
  • Providing technical expertise on converting assets and transferring knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction and formal/informal skill building
  • Developing Standard Procedures and building capability of technicians to competently perform tasks following the procedures

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering OR at least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
  • 2 year's manufacturing experience
  • Proficient with Asset Strategies and Equipment/Process Reliability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and transfer knowledge to get results
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a converting operation
