The Manufacturing Technician position is designed as an introduction to the industry of cGMP manufacturing.

This position is a 2 on, 2 off , 3 on "pitman" Night shift schedule with working hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

This position performs all routine/non-routine cleaning of equipment, prepares buffers/medias, glass wash of misc. parts, assembles setups and filters, autoclaves media/materials, tests filter integrity, manages process waste flows and material movement, and executes inventory management tasks at the cGMP facility to support continuous manufacturing operations. This position requires a shift schedule and gowning into a clean room environment. This position requires PPE.

Must be able to document, record activities in electronic systems and comply with regulatory requirements, cGMPs, Policy Documents and SOPs. Must be able to maintain training at 95% or greater. Must always wear proper PPE and follow all safety guidelines outlined by the SOP and site policies when working in the facility.

Must be able to perform general tasks as assigned by Management to support manufacturing, i.e., staging materials, discarding waste, moving equipment, and other general clean room tasks.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning of equipment, glasswash of misc. parts, assembles setups and filters, autoclaves medias/materials, tests filter integrity, manages process waste flows and material movement, and executes inventory management tasks.

Handling and discarding of hazardous and nonhazardous waste.

Computer: Includes maintaining training and job-related functions. Ordering and stocking general supplies in the manufacturing production areas.

Performing other various task as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Due to non-routine cleanings and the need to adhere to the manufacturing schedule, it is required, if necessary, to stay past the assigned shift to complete such requests. This position requires standing for long periods of time. For cleaning, this position also requires bending, kneeling, and reaching above head. This position is considered "Essential Personnel" which requires 7 days a week work coverage even though the company closes (i.e., inclement weather). This position is required to ensure cGMP production tasks are completed every day.

Salary Range: $21.63/hour-$27.40/hour

*There is an additional 15% shift differential for nightshift positions.

The Manufacturing & Test Operations (MTO) group comprises of talented individuals who are passionate about delivering new capabilities, optimize efficiencies and drive resiliency across our infrastructure. The Development Manufacturing Engineer has a challenging and dynamic role that requires a strong operational contributor. The ideal candidate will develop a strong relationship with the internal customer, define strong relationships with contract manufacturers and help grow an expanding product portfolio within BAE Systems SMS.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
**What You ll Do:**
+ Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for products and processes within a development value stream.
+ Modify, refine and provide input to ensure design producibility.
+ Analyze data, evaluate and implement improvements to meet contract, quality and schedule requirements.
+ Perform design reviews of drawings, procedures and engineering orders for completeness. Implement engineering changes and incorporate corrective action.
+ Following the principles defined within AS6500, facilitate the necessary steps to produce products and processes that meet or exceed requirements.
+ Actively participate in Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) Assessments.
+ Coordinate design-to-cost activities; track cost impact from design changes; report accordingly to design teams.
+ Provide guidance, support and mentorship to junior colleagues through knowledge sharing, constructive feedback & skill development.
+ Work independently or in a team environment to resolve issues using data-based root cause analysis; diligently applies firm corrective actions.
+ Demonstrate the ability to organize information, job tasks, and manage time for most efficient and effective performance.
+ Establish personal objectives; sets expectations of self that are aligned with organizational and departmental goals.
+ Ensure all manufacturing procedures, processes, records and reports in alignment with Quality Management System and/or contract requirements for quality and performance.
+ Develop and maintain manufacturing build instructions.
+ Maintain and control production tooling in accordance with QMS requirements. Design and/or communicate tool design needs to tool design engineers.
+ Contribute to collection and analysis of technical data in support of technical exchange meetings, design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, and program status reviews with program managers and customers.
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Design, Development/Test Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Process Labs and outside suppliers.
+ Maintain excellent rapport with internal/external customers.
+ Proficient understanding and use of in-house business systems including Manufacturing Execution System, manufacturing shop floor control, internal status reporting, and product data management system.
+ Support new business proposals including estimating labor, other direct costs, technical planning, manufacturing volume write-up, etc.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
+ May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
+ May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 6 or more years related experience.
+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ Knowledge of DFM principles.
+ Experience in GD&T.
+ Knowledge of Product and Process Development.
+ Demonstrates the ability to organize information, job tasks, and manage time for most efficient and effective performance.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience in Aerospace Industry.
+ RF or Electro Optics knowledge or experience.
+ Knowledge or experience in highly regulated manufacturing industries.
+ Experience implementing and maintaining process and products in alignment with AS6500 and AS9145 is preferred.
+ Practical understanding of product development and DoD product development lifecycle
+ Solid communication skills with ability to present to variety of audiences.
+ Complementary skills such as programming languages, CAD, and other manufacturing tools.
