• Coordinates with engineering, sales and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations.
• Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems are in compliance with company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and optical comparators, to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
• Identify and document non-conforming products, defects, and deviations from specifications, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Complete detailed inspection reports, maintaining accurate records of inspections, tests, and product disposition.
• Collaborate with production personnel and engineering teams to address quality issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first article inspections (FAI) for new products or revised designs.
• Perform visual inspections for surface finish, material defects, and assembly integrity.
• Ensure all measurement equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and inspection methods.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications (including GD&T - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Expertise in using a wide range of manual and automated measuring instruments.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
