Responsibilities
The Acusil production department manufactures thermal protection materials that are applied to parts received from customers and these materials are molded, cured, and machined to print so that they may be bonded onto parts. The customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The mission of our team is to provide customer satisfaction for product quality and delivery schedules while focusing internally on continuous improvement of our processes to reduce cost, rework and repair.
Our production facility is seeking a Composite Technician who will mold bond a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products.
Responsibilities of the position:
- Utilizes calibrated equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Lays out articles, cuts parts or materials to size.
- Applies liquid or solid bonding agents.
- Operates vacuum and industrial ovens to complete bonding cycle.
- Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.
- Sands, burrs and smooths over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
- Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.
- Verifies quality of finished product.
- Generates production packages including traceability.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
- Proper chemical safety handling.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 or more years of experience
- Dexterity for fine detailed work
- Detailed and results oriented, with solid problem solving acumen
- Ability to multitask and work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check. Must be a US citizen.
The position may require a Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Suite
- 2 or more years of experience with composite material production
- Understanding of lean manufacturing

Target Salary Range$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking to hire a **Manufacturing** **Engineer** to join our Colorado Manufacturing team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system. The Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nation's war fighters. This role will serve as a Senior Engineer for manufacturing activities at CMF in support of two major Hypersonic Programs. This role will work closely with the engineering team in Huntsville, AL and communicate between the two teams. This is not a remote position.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be overseeing and optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality. This position will support our Hypersonic Thermal Protection System (TPS). This position will require frequent coordination with Planning & Production Control, Quality Engineers, Design Engineers at other sites, and Operations Leads to ensure that mBOMs are up to date, design tooling that will be needed for manufacturing, lead times are documented, and work order instructions will be available when needed and that proper documentation is in place for floor operations.

**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Implementing procedures & techniques to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently and effectively.
+ Use of MES software (Solumina) to implement, track, monitor, and control manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.
+ Generation and maintenance of Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMS).
+ Generate routings inside Solumina to account for accurate run times.
+ Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects.
+ Identify and reduce risks in the production processes.
+ Plan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation.
+ Responsible for executing Configuration & Data Management processes & controls for managing & tracking changes.
+ Defines manufacturing processes, procedures and production flow for assembly, integration & test of products.
+ Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple projects. Organize and schedule production activities, and resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet production goals.
+ Resolve problems related to production jobs such as configuration changes, engineering changes, material issues, schedule priority, etc.
+ Overseeing & optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.
+ Expedite jobs as required & clearing any material shortages.
+ Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in **Mechanical Engineering,** **Aerospace Engineering** , **Industrial Engineering,** or **Industrial and Systems Engineering** with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
+ Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
+ Experience with machining.
+ Critical thinking experience.
+ Eight years of experience with Manufacturing, Assembly & Integration experience with machining, and/or mechanical components.
+ Experience with utilizing MRP and experience with ERP/PLM/MES systems.
+ Proficient understanding of GD&T.
+ Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
+ Intermediate proficiency with SolidWorks.
