Multiple positions with different skill levels are available with starting payrates from $15.00 to $8.00 per hour. We provide training for all selected applicants. Start a new career! Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage significant project work and provide day-to-day shop support, effectively leading both departmental and cross-functional projects.
  • Oversee the efforts of technicians, students, and fellow engineers, mentoring on both technical challenges and project management skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize cycle time, inventory, and waste while enhancing quality, process performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Engage in various assignments, including:
    • Developing torque curves for assembly operations.
    • Integrating torque tools and assembly instructions into the MES.
    • Addressing safety, environmental, and ergonomic challenges.
    • Improving and optimizing processes and conducting capacity studies.
    • Analyzing costs and implementing employee suggestions.
    • Launching new products and optimizing existing processes.
    • Leading Six Sigma projects and overarching Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    • Providing shop support to enhance product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience with developing torque and fastening strategies.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes, tools, and materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Dedication to identifying cost-saving opportunities and enhancing processes.
  • Competency in financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma tools and statistical process control.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CAD software, and a willingness to learn SAP.
  • Project management experience and ability to take ownership of initiatives.
  • Capability to perform hands-on tasks as necessary.

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer oversees all technical aspects throughout project execution, including coordinating engineering activities, managing interfaces, and liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal/external specialists. The primary goal is to ensure contractual performance targets are met on time and within the engineering budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical scope of projects from initiation through final installation acceptance, optimizing technical outcomes, managing budgets, and controlling design costs.
  • Build and lead a project team, fostering skill development and sharing knowledge within the entity and the Group.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure full technical satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate tasks among contributors alongside the project manager.
  • Lead and supervise the technical team including designers and specialist engineers.
  • Coordinate engineering subcontractors and technical cooperation with consortium partners.
  • Develop, update, and manage the engineering schedule and resource allocation.
  • Track work progress, document changes, and ensure technical work meets project requirements.
  • Review and approve technical documents and ensure proper distribution to all stakeholders.
  • Address technical change orders and non-conformity reports during manufacturing, erection, and commissioning.
  • Initiate design reviews, especially when deviations from initial plans occur.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical project management, preferably with steel mill equipment projects.
  • Proven success managing large, complex projects.
  • Technical expertise in furances or steel mill equipment and processes.
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.
