TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC is looking for aManufacturing Engineerto conduct daily audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure all safety, quality, and process standards are being followed. Responsible for improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the use of the TEOA tools and philosophy. Work closely with the launch organization on the introduction of new products. Ensure that an effective communication with all interested and needed parties to complete projects on time and on budget. Evaluate all projects for effectiveness. Lead and support equipment troubleshooting efforts as they arise with the ability too efficiently and independently work with various U.S. and global suppliers. Maintain and/or support all related process documentation, not limited to but including repair logs, manuals, drawings, and procedures. Support new program launch development efforts for new products, product extensions, and equipment releases into the plants. Participate in product and equipment design reviews for the purpose of developing a robust product and manufacturing process. Prepare and obtain quotes and materials needed for manufacturing equipment changes or improvements. Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, or other TE departmental input such as TEOA toward process changes or improvements. Be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required. Utilize experience-knowledge of automation and robotics for molding process. Utilize experience with LSR and Thermoplastic Molding process.
**Requirements** :Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.

Communication and Relationships

**Position Overview:**
We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Control and Programming Technician to join the Maintenance and Engineering team of BD manufacturing plant in Mebane, NC. You will play a central role in maintaining and improving automation equipment to ensure reliable manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on role, working to troubleshoot in real-time and continuously looking for improvement of equipment reliability. You will support production flow, quality assurance, and the safe operation of a high-volume automated manufacturing operation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work safely and comply with all applicable safety and quality procedures
+ Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Replace or repair faulty components and recalibrate systems as needed.
+ Diagnose faults in control systems and machinery using diagnostic tools and software.
+ Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
+ Configure and maintain HMI interfaces and SCADA systems.
+ Install and configure automated control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
+ Commission new equipment and ensure proper integration with existing systems.
+ Maintain accurate records of programming changes, maintenance activities, and process settings changes.

**_Shifts: Monday - Friday_**
**_1st - 6am - 2:30pm_**
**_2nd - 2pm -10:30pm_**
**Summary of the Position:**
Operates machines to produce products, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product. Doing this while ensuing that all Safety rules are being followed.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Reads job specifications from the Production Record to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
+ Observes machine operation. Make adjustments as needed. Takes samples of product and performs in process testing.
+ Performs all checks as required and documents activities. Is responsible for maintaining all required documentation in accordance with the Work Instructions.
+ Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover. Also assists with the actual changeover.
+ Notifies Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product. Is responsible for correcting issues effecting product quality.
+ Spreads product as required.
+ Assists with cleanup and other Production duties as needed. May perform other reasonable, related business duties.

**Education**
High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
**Experience**
Required: No previous work experience required
Preferred: Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field, including troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting machinery.
**Language Skills**
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences and to make entries in logbooks and on check sheets. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and policies, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
**Mathematical Skills**
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure, including time, volume, weight and distance using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
**Other Skills and Abilities**
Ability to use measuring instruments and simple hand tools. Ability to be attentive to tasks at hand. Ability to understand and follow management and supervisory directives.

The employee must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
**Work Environment**
The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to vibration and to wet or humid indoor conditions. The noise level is moderate to loud.
