**SCOPE OF ROLE:**
Lead the Filters operation in terms of production, quality, cost, delivery, technical, and safety, while respecting the defined goals. Responsible for the day-to-day management of people leaders within production, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures. Strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs, improve production and quality. Act with minimum supervision. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success.

+ Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Position Summary:
Machine Operator Assistant's role is to help keep the department running efficiently by staging work for the machines and by caring for the machine fluids (lubricants and coolant).
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of wash area (i.e. mop floors, change solvents in tanks) and ensure all wash materials used have been replenished at the end of each shift.
- Maintain machine fluid inventories (lubricants and coolant)
- Fill machines with oil
- Fill coolant wagons
- Perform machine coolant changes
- Material handling responsibilities.
- Receive raw material
- Store raw material and control inventory
- Move and stage raw material to machining centers
- Retrieve gages from and return gages to Gage Control / Calibration
- Move WIP material
- Painting and floor cleaning as necessary
- Complete 5S action items as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Knowledge of safe work practices including working with solvents and overhead crane use.

Position Summary
The Project Manager position will be responsible for management of high profile and complex projects from start to finish. This role will also work with employees on the shop floor to improve efficiency, safety, and quality of manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for driving total project management solutions from quote through to shipment
· Plans and designs tools, fixturing, and other mechanically functioning equipment
· Develops plans and implements new machining processes.
· Spearheads process optimization in both engineering and manufacturing. (automation)
· Provide technical support to sales team and support customer interface accordingly
· Complete detailed cost models needed to support providing quotes to customers
· Comprehends and disseminates customer driven specifications called out on drawings and determine how to process the parts in accordance with the specifications required.
· Works with QC to ensure all QMS requirements are being met during job routing.
· Understands ISO 9001 workflow requirements and follow such procedures.
· Builds B.O.M. on job routers to conform with customer material requirements called out on the print, parts list, and or contract.
· Reviews customer supplied purchase orders and contracts to ensure we meet all order requirements and build notations in the work instructions.
· Orders specialty material, hardware, and finishing supplies pertaining to the job or project assigned.
· Works with QC to review material certifications from vendors and sign off that they meet the called-out requirements from the contract.
· Effectively communicates any issues encountered while working on assigned projects back to supervisor and the customer as needed in a professional and timely manner.
· Leads post and pre-production reviews on defense projects during first run or after encountering issues.
· Creates measurable KPI’s that will quantify success on critical to plant growth projects.
· Provides support as Engineering Manager back up.
· Interprets customer supplied drawings and determine the best method of manufacturing considering the equipment available and the current manufacturing schedule.
· Writes work instructions in detail pertaining to any one of the fabrication processes.
· Utilizes 3D CAD software to help shop floor employees better understand the manufacturing process of various parts.
· 3D model customer parts using their supplied drawings utilizing CAD software.
· Program machines. (laser, turret)
· Supports the shop floor in any fixture design / work holding suggestions and optimize quality outcome.
· Utilizes Mastercam, SolidWorks, Radan, Epicor, or similar software when required, to communicate effectively to the shop floor.
· Maintains revision control of manufactured parts using our ERP system.
· Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline is a plus
· 10 plus years of experience in hands on machining (mills and lathes)
· 3+ years of experience in Project Management.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a continuous improvement mindset to support the production team by developing new processes and improving existing ones. In addition, this role will be an integral part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure new products are brought into production fully vetted and manufacturable, setting the team up for success.

How I will Contribute:
- Lead New Product Introduction efforts from the manufacturing side, including Pilot builds to validate the design and manufacturing process.
- Support the development and validation of changes to existing product and manufacturing processes, and ensure existing processes are enforced.
- Support the production team with troubleshooting, training, and technical guidance as needed to minimize errors and production downtime.
- Participate in the ECO process to ensure all changes are value add; participate in design reviews, approve design changes, and champion implementation.
- Research, develop, and implement necessary systems, competencies, and tools required to improve capability and capacity within Operations.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency of manufacturing processes with an emphasis on quality.
- As part of NPI, participate in design reviews, analyzing new designs for manufacturability and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide input on and support for capital equipment purchases, to include software and web-based platforms.
- Responsible for creating key process documentation for new products such as Process Details, Test Procedures, and Checklists, among others.
- Optimize manufacturing efficiency by planning and analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for new and existing product lines.
