**The Role**
OurManufacturing Techniciansfill a critical need in FUJIFILM's chemical plant operations. They support the daily operations in our fast-paced production area. As a Production Operator you will perform hands-on batch processing and liquid production of solvents. Loading and offloading of bulk chemical solvents and blends into tanker trucks, holding vessels, rail cars and drums. Monitor tank truck and rail car loading and unloading.

**Key responsibilities for this role include:**
+ Batch processing and liquid production of solvents. Loading and offloading of bulk chemical solvents and blends into tanker trucks, holding vessels, railcars and drums.
+ Monitoring of tank truck and railcar loading and unloading.
+ Handling and maintenance of equipment such as pneumatic sanitary pumps, hoses, and filter housings.
+ Forklift and pallet jack operation.
+ Prepare production processes by studying work orders, setting systems and controls.
+ Produce solvents and solvent blends by initiating, monitoring, and controlling raw material processing.
+ Maintaining quality standards by collecting samples, completing quality assurance tests, and adjusting process controls.
+ Maintain processing system by investigating warnings and malfunctions, obtaining or performing required maintenance service on production equipment.
+ Cleaning-up after processing.
+ Improve processing systems by identifying problems, evaluating and recommending new techniques.
+ Maintain processing environment by following safety, health, and environmental standards and procedures.
+ Complying with legal state and federal regulations.
+ Make the necessary decisions to ensure production targets are met to effectively keep operations on track.
+ Following all procedures, work instructions, batch / work orders, special instructions, and finished goods analysis sheets.

**REQUIREMENTS**
+ High School graduate or GED
+ 0-1 yrs Manufacturing experience required
+ Basic math skills
+ Mechanical background/aptitude is a plus
+ Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products
+ Analytical sampling experience a plus
+ Must be able to speak, read and write in English
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills
+ Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization
+ Must have a valid Texas drivers' license and clean driving record
+ Experience operating a forklift and other manufacturing tools preferred
+ Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
+ Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator, if needed
+ Ability to work varied shifts to include 1st and 2nd shift, including weekends

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or repair
  • Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor
  • Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Program AC & DC variable speed drivers
  • Update power distribution system, MCC, and switch gears
  • Install electrical equipment

The liquid manufacturing operator is responsible for cleaning, setting up and operating the production room and various manufacturing equipment and associated paperwork is completed in a timely manner to ensure that the production schedule is met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Prepares production room equipment for operation:
  • Disassembling, cleaning, and assembling equipment.
  • Cleaning manufacturing room prior to and after use.
  • Lifting and scraping material.
  • Weighing materials.
2. Manufacture liquid products:
  • Following batch record and related SOP's.
  • Following step by step processing instructions
  • Follows cGMP's:
  • Having all work checked by second person as it is done
  • Documenting all work in batch record, component inventory sheet, and logbooks in a timely manner.
3. May be assigned to other duties periodically.
  • Assist in revising production SOPs as needed
  • Responsible for the operational readiness of the plant working closely with other departments ensuring deficiencies are resolved and completed.
  • Provide project support in the areas manufacturing and equipment design and operation.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and calibration of manufacturing equipment
  • Assists in the executing of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols on liquid manufacturing equipment.and additional pharma equipment as needed.
  • Assist in the training of new liquid manufacturing personnel.

The employee will be working in a dusty an/or wet environment most of the times. This job position is in a manufacturing environment and uses company supplied uniforms. The primary environment will be ambient room temperature, production lighting and exposure to various types of manufacturing equipment such as mixing tanks, mixers, transfer pumps, and weighing scales. The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection (etc.) are mandatory.

* Running and maintaining the Solar vacuum furnace, including stress relief and aging profiles

* Running and maintaining two large-scale additive machines in two materials

* Providing updates and tracking on all jobs, consumables, and costs to customers and leadership
