Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will lead project management efforts and oversee the effective use of the Plex ERP system. This role is pivotal in coordinating engineering projects from concept through production, including new product introductions, process changes, and production line implementations.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and coordinate engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring successful new product introductions, process changes, and production line implementations.
+ Own and maintain all manufacturing-related data in the Plex ERP system, including routings, BOMs, part numbers, work centers, and standard costing.
+ Collaborate with Quality, Planning, Production, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering teams to drive project timelines, resolve roadblocks, and meet launch objectives.
+ Provide technical and process support to Commercial Cabinet Hardware (CCH), including troubleshooting, documentation updates, and small-scale process improvements.
+ Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as work instructions, setup sheets, routings, and manufacturing specifications within Plex and controlled systems.
+ Assist in first-piece validation, capability studies, and post-launch performance evaluations to ensure processes are stable and repeatable.
+ Lead or support engineering change notices (ECNs), assessing impacts and ensuring proper implementation across systems and departments.
+ Identify and execute opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows across departments using lean manufacturing principles.
Essential Skills
+ Project management skills with experience in quoting and CNC operations.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
+ At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on engineering project execution or ERP administration.
+ Strong experience with Plex ERP or equivalent manufacturing ERP systems, including managing BOMs, routings, and part setup.
+ Demonstrated project management experience within a manufacturing or operations setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

**Job Description:**
The main responsibility of this position will be to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. This is a hands-on role that will support the manufacturing processes by driving the attainment of goals and KPI's through working with Plant Leadership. **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Develop, test, and implement process adjustments and/or new manufacturing techniques to reduce manufacturing costs and waste, and to improve safety, product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and machine reliability.
+ Lead change through facilitating USa Events, writing standard operating procedures, and training key production employees on new work procedures and processes.
+ Utilizing ITW Toolbox training, identify and lead changes using 80/20, Inlining, USa, Product Line Simplification, and Market Rate of Demand tools as appropriate.
+ Provide key troubleshooting on dies, tooling, and machine parts to improve production processes.
+ Train and monitor operators on proper die setup/changeover techniques.
+ Design new parts to improve machine performance.
+ Understand machine capabilities for new product development and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing processes.
+ Revise and develop prints for current tooling and production part using CAD/Solidworks.
+ Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.
+ Perform capacity planning and provide solutions to meet continued growth. Manage capital projects from quoting/approval stage through training & implementation.
+ Support maintenance in root cause analysis, strategies to reduce mechanical downtime, and drafting and implementing preventive maintenance practices.
+ Mentor and support the professional growth of fellow engineers and cross-functional team members by sharing technical expertise, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across operations.
+ Creating and maintaining business relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors.

**Job Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering Required; Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred
+ 2-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge and application of design, engineering and technology, computers and electronics, technology design, and problem solving
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and /or SolidWorks CAD software
+ Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma Tools, Lean Manufacturing, Automation, and Capital Project

• Perform tooling detail and jig and fixture design
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
• Use CNC software to program cutting paths, feeds and speeds as appropriate for a variety of tool steels and program machines accordingly
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Loading and clamping raw materials into the CNC machine, indicating the part to be machined, homing the machine and loading tool holders into the carousel in preparation for executing CNC programs
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure parts meet design specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines and programs as they arise
• Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening

• Associates Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
