Our client, a leader in manufacturing and industrial solutions, is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join their team. As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Licensed Journeyman Electrician
Location: Zeeland, Michigan
Pay Range: Up to $42.50 hourly (+ Quarterly bonuses)
What's the Job?
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of instrument and electrical systems on complex manufacturing equipment
- Perform instrument calibrations (pressure, temperature, flow, speed) using various tools
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation ranging from pneumatic and analog to smart generation technology
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, DSC (Delta-V), and plant historian (PI) systems
- Make informed decisions on equipment diagnosis and repairs to prevent product issues
What's Needed?
- Valid MI State Journeyman Electrical License
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices
- Ability to lift/move 10-35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to safety and regulatory compliance

§ The Manufacturing Engineering Technician position supports quality and manufacturing engineering processes, which includes development, improvement, maintenance, and elimination of nonconformance.
Essential Job Functions§ Create and review work instructions and other standard work documentation to support line function.
§ Review equipment repair scopes, document down time, lost production, mean time between repairs and develop root cause failure analysis reports in order to review and revamp existing preventive and predictive programs for the equipment.
§ Ensure equipment is working at full capacity, and producing quality output.
§ Leverage Lean philosophy to troubleshoot production process issues and develop improvements.
§ Support Lean initiatives, such as: RIEs, JDIs, 9-Step Problem Solving, and/or additional initiatives as required.
§ Support elimination of internal and supplier nonconformance.
§ Support improved field reliability initiatives and quality issue resolution.
§ Support prototype builds and production tear downs as required.
§ Perform tests as directed by Design/Product & Manufacturing Engineering in support of component approval or nonconformance elimination.
§ Verify product conformance to documented requirements.
§ Use Quality performance metrics to drive improvement.
§ Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills§ Experience with CAD processes preferred.
§ Familiar with utilizing Lean philosophy.
§ Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer system (i.e., Email, Internet, Microsoft Word Suite, MRP).
§ Knowledge of production and inspections tools, techniques and their application to engineering requirements desirable.
§ Read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc.
§ Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact positively and work in a team environment.
