**Your Role:**
As a Mechanical Assembler you can expect to be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in the operations and assembly process. More specifically, in this role, you:
+ Work under direct supervision.
+ Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.
+ Set up and use analytical balance.
+ Perform inert assembly operations.
+ Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
+ Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
+ Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.
+ May have some basic soldering experience.
+ Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
+ Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units. Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
+ Install sub-assemblies.
+ Must display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
+ All work is performed in explosive handling areas.
+ If required, attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements. (i.e. JSTD)
+ OT required for Friday and Saturday as needed.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
+ 3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries.
+ Experience with automated manufacturing systems and Lean manufacturing principles is highly preferred.
**Technical Skills**
+ Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
+ Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and value stream mapping.
+ Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design infrastructure technologies. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test in manufacturing. - Work with system engineering teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM, DFA and DFS principles
- Evaluate, investigate and introduce new manufacturing technology and methodology to enhance product quality and production efficiency at ODM and CM
- Develop or adapt manufacturing process at the ODM and CM, including defining fixture requirements, critical assembly requirements, test methodology, signal integrity, power and heat management requirement
- Drive all factory-related operational issues related to assembly processes during pre-production builds; ensure effective closure to enable operational success of the new product introduction cycle, and put products into mass production
- Manage product lifecycle changes, lead product quality and reliability improvement projects, and drive technical root cause for supplier defects
- Implement and optimize manufacturing 1st pass yields and efficiency from prototype through product ramp
- Work with engineering teams to clearly represent process and reviews to enable smooth New Product Introduction and changes

**Key responsibilities for this role include:**

Job Description
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in quality assurance, Lean Six Sigma practices, and regulatory compliance within the defense or aerospace manufacturing industry. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to reduce the cost of poor quality (COPQ), support new product introductions (NPI), and implement robust quality systems to meet customer and industry requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Quality Assurance & Process Control:**
+ Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, inspection processes, and testing protocols to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
+ Define key quality metrics (KPIs) and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
+ Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure that process control systems are integrated into production workflows.
+ **Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:**
+ Investigate nonconformances, defects, and quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone analysis.
+ Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
+ **Compliance & Standards:**
+ Ensure that all manufacturing processes, products, and documentation adhere to ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality management system (QMS) standards.
+ Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
+ **Continuous Improvement Initiatives:**
+ Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects to improve process capability, reduce variability, and enhance overall product quality.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Kaizen and 3P (Production Preparation Process) events to identify and implement quality improvements.
+ **New Product Introduction (NPI):**
+ Work closely with design, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into new product designs and processes.
+ Develop and execute First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) plans for new product introductions.
+ **Supplier Quality Management:**
+ Collaborate with the supply chain team to evaluate and qualify suppliers, ensuring that purchased components meet quality requirements.
+ Conduct supplier audits and drive supplier corrective actions as needed.
+ **Documentation & Reporting:**
+ Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
+ 3-7 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
+ Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality management system standards is required.
**Technical Skills**
+ Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
+ Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and value stream mapping.
+ Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
+ Hands-on experience with automation technologies, robotics, PLC programming, and vision systems.
+ Proficient in ERP systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Bonus or Equity**
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
**Pay Range**
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,200.00 - 150,800.00
