Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the aerospace industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and quality control. This role involves working closely with design engineers, Test Engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure the efficient and effective manufacture of high-quality aerospace components. Knowledge of liner explosive would be a positive attribute for this position
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Process Development:** Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace products.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities for process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards (AS9100) and company quality requirements.
+ **Tooling & Equipment Design:** Collaborate with design engineers to create tooling and equipment specifications that meet production needs.
+ **Production Support:** Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes or equipment.
+ **Documentation & Reporting:** Prepare detailed documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), control plans, and other relevant documents.
+ **Supplier Collaboration:** Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to materials or components used in the manufacturing process.
+ **Project Management:** Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams focused on product development or process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other Engineering disciplines such as but not limited to, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fields. A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
+ 7-10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the aerospace industry.
+ Proficiency in CAD software would be a plus.
+ Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
+ Experience with AS9100 standards and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
+ Strong communication skills; able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, production staff, quality assurance personnel, and suppliers.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

+ Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.
+ Set up and use analytical balance.
+ Perform inert assembly operations.
+ Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
+ Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
+ Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.
+ May have some basic soldering experience.
+ Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
+ Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units. Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
+ Install sub-assemblies.
+ Must display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
+ All work is performed in explosive handling areas.
+ If required, attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements. (i.e. JSTD)
+ OT required for Friday and Saturday as needed.

**Position Overview**
We have an exciting opportunity at our Hollister, CA facility for a **Quality Control Engineer II!** The Quality Control Engineer II will work to ensure all metrology equipment provides a high level of quality that meets internal and external customer's expectation. This individual will put in place a system to measure each critical metrology equipment performance, drive continuous improvements, and then report on its status with QC Chemists, Process Engineers, management, and key customers to address any deficiencies.

**Key responsibilities for this role include:**
+ Statistically review key chemistry metrologies to monitor and understand all aspects/ impacts to instrument analysis, method detection limits, and background/baseline shifts/trends.
+ Collaborate with lab personnel in troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.
+ Establish a strong understanding of the key metrology equipment to the background shifts and trends observed in FUJIFILM's key manufacturing processes. Meet with members of the production staff to offer recommendations to manage data at the uncertainty region.
+ Communicate findings and monitor continuous improvement for effectiveness with other professionals including QC/QA managers and lab personnel, across Electronic Materials sites, product managers, instrument developers, system engineers and customers.
+ Based on their findings, drive change and continuous improvements projects.
+ Fully support metrology investigations in support of respective Product Teams and customer requests or investigations.
+ May be required to lead or direct role of others.
+ Perform other duties, as required.
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
+ 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor field or in an analytical/statistical environment.
+ Experience and background in Six Sigma tools and Techniques - SPC, Nelson/Western Electric rules, statistical driven decision making.
+ Statistical tools - JMP
+ Prior experience in developing and maintaining a statistical process control program.
