The Manufacturing Technician will assemble medical grade refrigeration equipment with the use of hand tools. This employee must be well organized, detail oriented, able to follow multi-step processes, easily take direction, able to proof and check own work for accuracy and to correct mistakes.
- Manufacturing Plant & Warehouse environment
- Working with plant employees requires a role model profile that reflects the rules and discipline levels employed on the shop floor.
- Some overtime may be required.
What You'll Do
- Perform a series of basic and some moderately complex operations using a variety of hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and work instructions to properly produce and assemble medical grade refrigeration equipment.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain thorough understanding of how the work being done produces a quality part.
- Maintain clean, organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Check for prescribed dimensions in jigs, fixtures with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices.
- Follow and accurately interpret written instructions, drawings, planning, sketches, and best practice worksheets.
- Perform periodic cycle counts of inventory and non-inventory parts.
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma required.
- Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate rapidly and effectively within the organization and to represent the company in a professional manner to suppliers and visitors.
- Must be willing and able to independently pursue assignments with maximum problem-solving resolve and minimal supervision but must also readily ask for direction and help when needed.
- Ability to shift priorities as needed and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow demonstrated steps.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., have good manual dexterity, perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- 3 years' experience in manufacturing assembly/production is preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Refrigeration/ HVAC experience preferred
- Electrical wiring experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Some college coursework, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Must be willing and able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, but must also readily ask for direction and help when needed
- Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
* Serves as subject matter expert in the development and execution of strategic employee relations initiatives across manufacturing operations, ensuring consistent application of policies and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and respect. Partners with management to proactively identify workplace trends, mitigate risks, and implements employee engagement and retention strategies aligned with operational goals.
* Conducts regular floor walks to increase visibility, actively build trust with employees, leads, and supervisors. Identifies challenges early and drives collaborative solutions.
* Acts as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns on the manufacturing floor across all shifts.

* Conducts Exit Interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Tracks and reports on ER-related metrics (e.g., turnover, disciplinary actions, absenteeism, Stay Interviews, Exit interviews).
Performance Management & Coaching
* Provides coaching and support to managers and supervisors on effective people management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary practices.
* Guides the corrective action process to ensure outcomes are fair, transparent, and legally compliant.
* Assists in developing and documenting performance improvement plans as needed.
* Conducts training for supervisors and employees on policies, behavioral expectations, and legal compliance.

* Monitors labor market trends and emerging workforce practices to inform strategic workforce planning and ensure competitiveness in recruitment and retention.
* Analyzes employer branding strategies used by competitors and makes recommendations to strengthen the organization's positioning as an employer of choice.
* Tracks demographic shifts, skills demand, and employee expectations to guide future talent initiatives.
* Collaborates with People Team to align HR strategies with external market conditions.

* Ensures compliance with company policies, federal/state labor laws, OSHA, EEO, and workplace safety regulations.
What You Need
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or human resources is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a human resources field within manufacturing, production, distribution or similar industry, with a demonstrated record of success in human resources management.
* HR certification a plus.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.

Position Summary: The QC Supply Chain Senior Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the oversight of sample receiving, NIR testing and sample delegation for in-house and outside contract laboratory (OCL) testing. Manages the coordination of analyses performed by OCL and generation of certificates of analysis. Ensures the accurate and timely submission of samples and release of materials and products. Maintains effective communication with other departments to achieve company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
* Knowledgeable of the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintains knowledge base on an ongoing, timely basis as procedural changes occur without relying on management intervention or direction.
* Oversees sample receiving, delegation and sample submission for analyses by the different labs (in-house and OCL) to ensure that test requirements are accurately assigned, and due dates are met. Corresponds with OCL representatives for rush analyses and other inquiries.
* Develops procedures and work instructions related to laboratory supply chain operations.
* Manages the sample retention program.
* Becomes proficient using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
* Implements, tracks, measures, and reports on key performance indicators and objectives.
* Identifies cost savings and lead time opportunities with outside contract laboratories.
* Support and participate in internal audits, regulatory audits, and certification audits.
* Supports lab ISO or certification initiatives and oversees implementation in the Supply Chain group.
* Collaborating on new product development or reformulations regarding test methods.
* Ensures the accurate reporting of data for all in-house and OCL analyses of products (raw materials, intermediary materials, finished products, stability samples, supplier samples, investigational and R&D samples), including but not limited to correct test methods being performed, correct analytes and correct units being reported.
* Works with LIMS personnel when issues associated with sample receiving, specifications (raw materials and finished products) and batch release are encountered.
* Demonstrates attention to detail in all aspects of lab procedures, follows department procedures and company policies and completes all paperwork accurately, neatly and in compliance with good documentation practices (GDPs).
* Oversees and develops training of the QC Supply Chain personnel (sample receiving and data group personnel) to ensure that employees are trained in applicable procedures and that required training is completed in a timely manner. Ensures training is reasonably continuous, timely and conducted before employees begin new tasks.
* Ensures that performance appraisals for direct reports are conducted in a thorough and timely manner. Conducts periodic check-ins with staff to provide performance and behavior feedback, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, leadership potential and seeks the same for self.
* Reviews QC documents, performs a thorough investigation of out-of-specification (OOS) results reported by OCLs including communicating with the OCLs when investigational information is required. Assists with root cause analysis when requested.
* Reviews test results and works with the lab management to resolve testing problems/issues and ensures that all laboratory data is documented in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
* Manages purchase orders for OCL testing and for QC lab supplies. Responsible for inventory management.
* Actively participates in process improvement initiatives aiming for Right-First-Time (RFT) on documentation and OOS/Deviation/NCM reduction in collaboration with Quality management.
* Responsible for escalation of OCL OOS investigations and assists with developing and implementing long-term strategies and continuous improvements.
What You Need
* Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or related science discipline is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
* Prior supervisory and/or managerial experience in laboratory compliance in a cGMP or ISO laboratory environment is required.
* Prior experience in testing and release of chemicals/pharmaceuticals/dietary supplement products is desirable.
