This position is available for permanent replacement employees due to the ongoing economic strike at Teasdale Latin Foods' Hoopeston location.
Overview: Industrial and Manufacturing Electricians are responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair tasks. This role supports the maintenance team in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems and equipment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine electrical maintenance tasks, such as replacing fuses, bulbs, and wiring, under the guidance of senior electricians.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues, such as short circuits, faulty wiring, and control panel malfunctions, using technical manuals and schematics.
- Support preventative maintenance technicians in completing electrical PM tasks as needed.
- Conduct visual inspections of electrical systems to identify wear, damage, or potential hazards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent, in the CMMS.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new electrical equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in an electrical maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

The Quality Control Manager serves as the strategic leader responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the overarching strategy for the Quality Control team. This role focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of laboratory operations to deliver maximum value to the organization. Additionally, the position involves spearheading initiatives to reduce gauge downtime, ensuring optimal functionality and availability of measurement equipment. A critical aspect of this leadership role is the management of spare parts inventory and the optimization of gauge management processes to achieve seamless operational performance.
Key Deliverables:
* Perform duties and responsibilities of a Process Owner for Quality Control topics.
* Definition and risk assessment of process flow
* Implementation and technical validation of process content
* Measurement of process effectiveness and continuous improvement
* Motivation and satisfaction
* Oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
* Recommends changes and corrections to the process or product based on inspection results.
* Oversees MSA activities and propose measurement optimizations as applicable.
* Provides support for process-related corrective action implementation, quality-related production documentation, studies, and activities necessary to increase control and lower cost of poor quality, implementing and validating Poke Yoke/Error Proofing methods, and internal complaint activities.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
* Develop and implement a robust spare parts management strategy for gauges, ensuring critical components are readily available to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. This includes defining inventory levels, conducting periodic reviews, and collaborating with suppliers for cost-effective and timely replenishment.
* Establish and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for gauges, ensuring all measurement equipment is serviced and calibrated at defined intervals to maintain accuracy, reliability, and compliance with quality standards. Regularly analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement improvements.
* Supports reporting activities for the following: Gauge calibrations, compliance to laboratory test frequency requirements, gauge downtime, repair costs and other relevant key performance indicators for the department.
* Coordinate Human Resource issues and activities with HR Management to meet our overall personnel requirements.
* Supervises employee activities by providing training, mentoring, coaching, establishing interpersonal relations to develop a positive human relations climate for good morale and teamwork and to ensure high efficiency in area of responsibility.
* As a member of the Management team, this individual coordinates and confers with all other staff members to establish and execute short and long-term goals as defined in our business plan and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction to assure our long-term position in our marketplace.
* Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly manages the Quality Control team, including Gauge Engineering, Materials Engineering and Quality Control engineering.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, a successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of Quality experience. In lieu of degree, 7-10 years of work experience. Additionally, 2 years of supervisory experience required.
* Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, OEMs, or employees of organization.
* Technology: Microsoft Office Suite knowledge; SAP/ERP knowledge preferred. Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP-PPAP, FMEA, MSA, 8D, Statistics, GD&T and mechanical manufacturing processes.
* Travel: Occasional travel, up to 10% including international

+ You will educate production specialists on testing functions to maintain the quality of our product.
+ Verify material sampling and customer paperwork is complete daily
+ Perform line checks on product during the manufacturing process to ensure quality
+ Inspect andverify materials used in the facility meet the requirements outlined in the ingredient/component specification prior to being used in production.
+ ·You will collaborate with all departments to support production demand and maintain product quality standards.
+ Cleanliness is important in our facilities. You will help maintain a clean work area to comply with food safety and OSHA requirements.
**Do you Have What It Takes:**
+ High School diploma or GED
+ Previous Quality experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
+ Overtime may be needed to ensure fulfill production demand
+ This is a physical position. You will be asked to do things like, lifting boxes of upto 50 pounds, climbing stairs, using your hands, and bending/kneeling.
