Job Description
The Manufacturing Worker Lead (MWLead) is responsible for overseeing daily functions while setting a high standard for the Manufacturing department while assisting the Manufacturing Supervisor in daily operations as needed under their direction. This individual must be able to perform all Manufacturing worker responsibilities and some SAP transactions at a high level while assisting, coaching, and mentoring Manufacturing Workers within the department.
* Ability to assist in and/or perform all pre-shift processes.
* Able to assist with and/or conduct the start of shift meetings in a professional manner.
* Can lead the team out on the floor with clear and concise direction.
* Perform and ensure that equipment checklists are completed at the start of the shift.
* Plan and set goals for the shift while consulting with the supervisor.
* Assign equipment and tasks based on the workload.
* Communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift.
* Lead by example and maintain high levels of production and quality.
* Fill in for the supervisor in their absence.
* Use wireless RF device or desktop computer to perform all necessary functions.
* Ensures inventory accuracy for items and locations.
* Participates in cycle counting and Physical Inventory.
* Ability to inspect, use and maintain equipment in good working order.
* Ensure that all pallets and items are clearly and accurately labeled.
* Completes all paperwork pertaining to inventory such as breakage/damage list and work order info.

* Perform all functions related to work order processes in SAP.

* Verify received goods match purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 2+ years previous warehouse/distribution experience.
* Ability to read and write in English.
* Sit-down Forklift and Reach Truck experience required. Current certification or ability to be certified within 30 days of start date.
* Basic organizational, mathematical, and computer skills.
* Knowledge of proper safety measures.
* Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs. regularly and frequently up to and over 100 lbs.
* Ability to work at varying heights.
* Ability to stand frequently as well as the ability to walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

**JOB SUMMARY:**
This position will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the next generation of vehicle manufacturing processes and concepts for Off-Road vehicles. This includes identifying areas for efficiency improvements in our current manufacturing process, design strategies to support these concepts and identifying new improved manufacturing methods to reduce overall assembly labor. The role will work with design and systems engineering, the vehicle architecture teams, and our assembly plants to implement more efficient designs and process in our next generation of vehicles. In addition, the architect would be responsible for establishing requirements early in the design process and conducting tradeoffs with long-term strategic thinking to ensure our next generation of vehicles can meet long-term business objectives.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Engineering position with growth potential for high-achieving, highly motivated individual.

+ Work with the SME and systems teams to draft manufacturing requirements to guide the design team in new product architecture.
+ Work to integrate the developed best practice requirements into requirements management software.
+ Work alongside vehicle architects early in the concept phase to conduct trade studies to determine the most efficient manufacturing technologies and processes.
+ Work with vehicle architects to balance vehicle and manufacturing requirements to ensure we are meeting customer KPCs and business objectives.
+ Work with system design teams to drive clear piece part count goals for execution on the vehicle platforms.
+ Interact effectively across the organization: manufacturing, program management, design engineering, plant network optimization and senior management teams.
+ Benchmark other organizations and research new manufacturing technologies.
+ Ensure new technology or process implementations are appropriately budgeted, resourced, and vetted so they can be implemented on schedule.
+ Work alongside manufacturing plant personnel to assess and recommend line/plant layouts and drive efficiency.
+ Drive platforming initiatives into the manufacturing process and develop and champion platforming methodology at the plant level.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $120,000 to $140,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.
What is the role about?
This position is responsible for the manufacturing and testing of Lasers, Calibrated Switching Modules, and Spectrograph products. The Raman Manufacturing Technician ensures that manufactured products meet the quality standards and performance specifications related to the product. Technicians may also be asked to interface with vendors to help diagnose and resolve any part or material issues.
Which essential functions will you perform?
- Hands-on building of product, testing and troubleshooting of optical and electronic assemblies.
- Write and correct existing Work Instructions within Raman Manufacturing.
- Set up equipment and perform complex processes and measurements.
- Identify procedural problems, correctly conduct experiments and reports findings. Also recommend solutions to problems and works toward a resolution.
- Provide technical assistance and work toward continual improvement to manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Accurately fill out all required documents.
- Follow written and verbal instructions including safety precautions (SDS sheets) of chemicals/equipment in use.
- Must interact with a variety of people at all levels in the organization. Work closely with the manager and engineers in supporting process and product development.
- Must complete tasks within the timeframes established in the weekly production schedule.
- Safety, cleanliness, and order of workspace through 5S, and quality of finished goods is mandatory.
- Cross train in other positions within Raman manufacturing.

What qualifications are needed?
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic, optical, or mechanical assembly.

- Knowledgeable in the field of study that focuses on applications of optics such as lenses, microscopes and other equipment that utilizes the property of light using physics and chemistry.
- Ability to work with various hand tools and be mechanically inclined.
- Strong mechanical experience and the ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
- Possess strong analytical skills needed to perform duties that require mathematical computations.
- This position requires the ability to handle all standard optical equipment and material including high-powered lasers and other components required in the manufacturing process.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, communication proficiency, and problem solving/analysis.
- Proactive, team-oriented person who can anticipate needs and take initiative with excellent follow-through.
- Must have a demonstrated skill and understanding of ERP systems. Experience in Syteline ERP system a plus.
- Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

- Document pertinent information for the contents of each waste tote and/or drum; ensure each container is sampled, stored, and labeled correctly noting distinction between waste types.
- Maintain all relevant batch processing instructions.
- Clean and respond to chemical spills safely, using appropriate safety equipment. Although spills are rare at Chem-Trend, the ability to respond safely and appropriately is critical to the role.
