**Job Title: Manufacturing Technician**
**Job Description**
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to produce regulated products in compliance with QSRs, company policy, applicable regulatory requirements, and safety regulations. The technician works on routine assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practices is essential. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to instructions and pre-established guidelines.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform all work in compliance with company policy and guidelines.
+ Manufacture, assemble, and ship regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices of a radioactive nature.
+ Operate production equipment within the clean room environment.
+ Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Rely on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
+ Maintain organization and cleanliness of all designated manufacturing areas.
+ Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
+ Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, materials, and parts.
+ Assist with maintenance activities.
+ Provide mentorship and coaching to Manufacturing Technician I employees.
+ Adhere to the company's purpose operating principles, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
+ Comply with company policies and procedures.
+ Follow all safety rules and safety precautions.
+ Access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in medical device manufacturing, tooling, SOP, and quality inspection.
+ Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
+ Experience in production, assembly, laboratory, and packaging.
+ High School degree or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience, including at least 1 year in medical device manufacturing.
+ Experience handling radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred.
+ Ability to operate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
+ Proficiency in basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to compute averages, rates, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
+ Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
+ Ability to travel for work as needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
+ Experience handling radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred.

**GENERAL SUMMARY**
Responsible for performing quality control inspections, surveillances, and observations of work activities to verify compliance with the Quality Assurance Program and implementing procedures and for inspecting structures, equipment, parts, and materials to assure quality standards are maintained.
Provide independent oversight of Energy Northwest programs and processes by performing assessments to ensure the Quality Assurance Program is implemented in accordance with regulations and industry best practices. This position will allow personnel with limited education and experience to learn Quality principles and obtain skills needed to perform audits and independent monitoring of station performance.
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Perform inspections for compliance with specifications using blueprints, drawings, inspection procedures, and prior knowledge of fabrication methods to evaluate if deficiencies are present in systems, structures, assemblies, or parts.
+ Conduct in-process and final inspections at various checkpoints during maintenance activities. This includes: installations or repairs of removed, disassembled, repaired, and assembled equipment; installation of structures, systems, and associated components; equipment to eliminate work hold-ups and rework; and to ensure conformance to specified requirements.
+ Interpret inspection acceptance/rejection criteria to identify discrepancies and non-conformances. Assemble pertinent information and materials necessary to effectively accomplish planning, scheduling, inspections, and reporting of inspection results. Interpretation and judgment of the acceptance/rejection of an item is based on a review of the work against the written requirements. Judgment and interpretation is based on training and experience.
+ Conduct training of lower level and same level inspection personnel by demonstrating the proper techniques for performing Quality Control inspection, interpreting inspection results, documenting inspection results, documenting non-conformances, and reviewing and closing out of completed work order tasks and associated inspection documentation.
+ Evaluate the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel.
+ Develop, write, review, and approve inspection, examination, and testing procedures and evaluate the adequacy of such procedures to accomplish the inspection, examination, and test objectives.
+ Conduct surveillances and observations, and submit reports and recommendations. Analyze data from surveillances and observations of work activities and documentation to identify problems. Summarize data and major points and submit reports to management for review and action. Maintain files, charts, and status reports on progress of inspections and documentation.
+ Assist in developing new procedural controls to address the quality control aspects of the Quality Assurance Program.
+ Perform independent oversight of Energy Northwest's programs and processes through use of performance-based techniques. Responsible for written and verbal reporting of the conclusions of the assessments under the cognizance of a lead auditor.
+ Routinely monitor plant and industry information to remain cognizant of assigned technical areas; and interface with line personnel, industry contacts, and regulatory agencies.
+ Obtain knowledge and understanding of plant and regulatory requirements. Use that knowledge to identify potential problems in operation, design, safety, productivity, or reliability of the plant or plant processes.
+ Perform reviews of plant and department documents such as procedures, Action Requests (ARs), instructions, safety reviews, and design documents under the cognizance of a lead auditor.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
The following minimum education and experience requirements shall be met for Level III qualification as specified in ANSI N45.2.6-1978 and Regulatory Guide 1.58, Rev. 1, September 1980:
1. Six years of satisfactory performance as Level II in the corresponding inspection category or class; OR
2. High school diploma or GED and ten years of related experience in equivalent inspection activities; OR
3. High school diploma or GED and eight years experience in equivalent inspection activities, with at least two years as Level II, and with at least two years associated with nuclear facilities; OR
4. An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of related experience in equivalent inspection activities, with at least two years of this experience associated with nuclear facilities; OR
5. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of related experience in equivalent inspection activities, with at least two years of this experience associated with nuclear facilities.
Certified Auditor (ANSI) or required to certify within one year.
**Pay Range:**
$106,670.00 - $60,006.00 Annual
Midpoint:
133,338.00
This position is salary, non-exempt in which the successful candidate would receive overtime for any hours worked over 40 hours in a pay week. The salary would be offered within the range stated above.
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
**Incentive Compensation**
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
