Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a **Manager of Energetics Manufacturing** to support the Energetics Manufacturing Engineering group at our Rocket Center, WV location. **This position will we be located on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. No remote opportunities are available for this position.** As Manager in the Energetics Manufacturing Engineering group, candidate will be responsible for providing supervisory/management responsibilities for a small group of engineers working on production and development rocket motor and/or warhead programs, while also providing technical leadership and guidance. This manager will also work on proposal requests and provide manufacturing plans and estimates to support business growth. **Responsibilities** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Lead a team that develops and sustains manufacturing processes for defense-related products + Ensure the right people, processes, and tools are in place to meet the business needs + Oversee the supervision of day-to-day engineering activity and work products, expense management, workload management and performance management process + Identify, manage and grow the critical skills for the manufacturing team + Identify and/or lead continuous improvement activities within the department/plant + Function as a key contributor on development programs, guiding manufacturing trajectory + Prepare, review, and approve cost estimates and written technical proposals The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate leadership skills to achieve and sustain top performance. + Develop and communicate material acquisition and subcontractor management objectives and strategies.

+ Manage material risks and obsolescence
+ Track and communicate performance against program Financial objectives (budget performance, sales and EBIT)
+ Identify and promptly communicate all deficiencies and deviations from plan and assure and manage actions required to correct them.
+ Represent Supply Chain Management to Customers, Program Management and NG Management
+ Support internal and external audits.
+ Manage material-related proposal activity including line-loss and quotation requests.
+ Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance.
+ Promote a focus on safety and utilize Lean, PES or Six Sigma tools throughout program planning and implementation to emphasize continuous improvement.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ A bachelors degree with 2 years of experience within a relevant field OR Masters degree OR a High School diploma with 6 years of experience.
+ MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrated knowledge of production, material control and financial procedures and systems (such as Proposal, Line of Balance, EAC, and Sales Forecasting)
+ Two (2) or more years directly related experience with progressively broader responsibility in Materials Management or related discipline with some degree of leadership experience
+ Familiarity with government contracting requirements and compliance
+ Ability to travel up to 10%
+ Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, production control and manufacture of products
+ Experience with raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
+ Experience with purchase requisitions
+ DoD US Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00
