Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a **Manager of Energetics Manufacturing** to support the Energetics Manufacturing Engineering group at our Rocket Center, WV location. **This position will we be located on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. No remote opportunities are available for this position.** As Manager in the Energetics Manufacturing Engineering group, candidate will be responsible for providing supervisory/management responsibilities for a small group of engineers working on production and development rocket motor and/or warhead programs, while also providing technical leadership and guidance. This manager will also work on proposal requests and provide manufacturing plans and estimates to support business growth. **Responsibilities** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Lead a team that develops and sustains manufacturing processes for defense-related products + Ensure the right people, processes, and tools are in place to meet the business needs + Oversee the supervision of day-to-day engineering activity and work products, expense management, workload management and performance management process + Identify, manage and grow the critical skills for the manufacturing team + Identify and/or lead continuous improvement activities within the department/plant + Function as a key contributor on development programs, guiding manufacturing trajectory + Prepare, review, and approve cost estimates and written technical proposals The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate leadership skills to achieve and sustain top performance. Project management skills, including leading teams, prioritizing and scheduling are desired. **_The position of the Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist involves effectively managing scheduling, production control, and the manufacturing of products; enhancing value through processes such as moving, separating, forming, machining, and chemical treatments. This role guarantees the production of stock items to meet customer demands. It also ensures the creation of custom-engineered products that are designed, developed, and manufactured in accordance with specific customer requests or contracts. The specialist oversees, develops, or implements production guidelines, monitors production performance, manages information, materials, equipment, facilities, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards._**

**Primary Job responsibilities Include:**

+ **_Responsible for ensuring the timely scheduling, control of production, and manufacturing of goods; contributing value through various processes including moving, separating, forming, machining, and chemical applications._**
+ **_Assures the production of standard products to satisfy customer needs._**
+ **_Ensures the development of tailored-engineered products that are conceived, created, and manufactured in response to particular customer inquiries or agreements._**
+ **_Manages, devises, or executes production protocols, performance evaluations, information systems, material resources, equipment, facilities, and compliance with regulations._**
+ **_Tasked with the successful organization, oversight of production, and creation of products; adding value through diverse processes such as moving, separating, forming, machining, and chemical methods._**
+ **_Confirms the manufacturing of inventory products to address customer specifications._**
+ Convey to the Program Manager and IPT a full understanding of the materials acquisition and subcontractor requirements and plan.
+ Lead the IPT and direct functional organizations to achieve material-related program objectives (cost, schedule, quality), while managing material risks and opportunities.
+ Ensure program budget, materials availability, andquality objectives are met by managing and directing the activities of IPT members, the Procurement Team and external suppliers and customers.
+ Develop and communicate material acquisition and subcontractor management objectives and strategies.
+ Manage the Make/Buy process
+ Manage material risks and obsolescence
+ Track and communicate performance against program Financial objectives (budget performance, sales and EBIT)
+ Identify and promptly communicate all deficiencies and deviations from plan and assure and manage actions required to correct them.
+ Represent Supply Chain Management to Customers, Program Management and NG Management
+ Support internal and external audits.
+ Manage material-related proposal activity including line-loss and quotation requests.
+ Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance.
+ Promote a focus on safety and utilize Lean, PES or Six Sigma tools throughout program planning and implementation to emphasize continuous improvement.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ A bachelors degree with 2 years of experience within a relevant field OR Masters degree OR a High School diploma with 6 years of experience.
+ MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrated knowledge of production, material control and financial procedures and systems (such as Proposal, Line of Balance, EAC, and Sales Forecasting)
+ Two (2) or more years directly related experience with progressively broader responsibility in Materials Management or related discipline with some degree of leadership experience
+ Familiarity with government contracting requirements and compliance
+ Ability to travel up to 10%
+ Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, production control and manufacture of products
+ Experience with raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
+ Experience with purchase requisitions
+ DoD US Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
