THE OPPORTUNITY
SANY America in Peachtree City, GA is seeking a self-driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support our expanding production operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will report initially to the Chief Executive Officer and will require close collaboration with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure the effective execution of manufacturing strategies. Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of assigned product lines, ensuring manufacturing processes deliver high-quality equipment aligned with safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Evaluate heavy equipment manufacturing and assembly processes by applying knowledge of product design, tooling, hydraulics, and material handling.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions, from prototype builds to pilot runs to full-scale production.
- Ensure product and process quality by designing validation and testing methods, conducting line trials, and confirming manufacturing readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability, reduce defects, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Improve assembly efficiency by conducting time studies, analyzing workflow, space utilization, equipment layout, ergonomics, and material flow within large-scale assembly lines.
- Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, optimize throughput, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
- Support decision-making with financial estimates by calculating production rates, labor and material costs, and resource requirements for new and existing product lines.
- Identify and work with vendors to develop unique manufacturing solutions for equipment, fixtures, and tools.
- Seek optimal outcomes while balancing time, budget, and resource constraints.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges, such as bottlenecks, line balance issues, and equipment utilization problems.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for new manufacturing processes, engineering procedures, and operator work instructions.
- Participate in the engineering change notice process and implement necessary changes on the manufacturing line.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, supply chain, quality, and aftermarket support, to ensure manufacturability, serviceability, and a customer-focused approach in all processes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards related to safety and environmental practices in heavy equipment manufacturing.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate needs to be on-hands and collaborative. This individual will have ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and different business units, customers and vendors. The candidate will need to demonstrate success in implementing new initiatives and opportunities along with problem solving and continuously improving existing operations.
- 3 - 4 years of practical experience in manufacturing environment including ongoing production support as well as development and implementation of new product introduction.
- Ability to plan and execute projects with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Six Sigma strategies for lean manufacturing.
- Motivated to identify waste, propose improvements and support implementation of improvement projects.
- Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills with the ability to build trust and credibility globally which includes winning approval from various stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving non-reoccurring, unprecedented problems. Have a root cause / data driven approach to problem solving.
- Project management skills with the ability to plan, create, maintain and resolve open issues, lead functional teams, financial tracking and management of program fund spending.
- Provide leadership in execution, completing assignments and projects on time.
- Process driven, detailed oriented, results driven and self-motivated.
- High energy with a sense of urgency who is resilient and self-confident.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management or other manufacturing related curriculum.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
COMPENSATION

**Program Summary:**

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year. Upon program completion, EOM Engineers will work with our dedicated Human Resources team to find an operational role in one of our nearly 160 sites throughout North America. While a final placement role is not guaranteed, most EOM Engineer graduates are able to choose from multiple Saint-Gobain sites for final placement offers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Plant Manager is responsible for all aspects of the facility, leading the entire operational team on-site, ensuring an efficient and effective operation in delivering quality products to our customers and maintaining security and operability of all assets at the site.

- Familiarity of ERP systems and methods of scheduling, inventory and shipping.
