Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Tends machine(s) that perform one or more functions, such as, injection molding, assembly, packing, labeling, banding, wrapping, etc.
  • Performs quality inspections to ensure that products meet quality specifications. 
  • Able to perform product changeovers and configured the production line. Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine.
  • Stops machine and reports malfunction to Supervision. 
  • Makes routine machine adjustments or repairs, such as, clearing jams, setting guides, etc.  Performs manual packing operations, such as, wrapping, boxing, labeling, etc. 
  • Cross-trained in multiple work areas to give the factory flexible to perform under lean conditions or resources.
  • Handles raw materials, finished product and associated documentation using production and warehouse management systems, such as SAP.  Transports product and supplies between departments and/or locations, may load trailers or shipping containers.
  • Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, prepares materials for production lines and unloads packaged product.
  • Maintains packaging supplies, such as, wrapping paper, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, labels, etc.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains records, such as, production volume, product type, quality check sheets, machine check sheets, etc.
  • Maintains machine cleanliness and able to perform the proper lock out procedures.
  • Performs all additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follows Fujifilm’s Employee Code of Conduct Policy and adheres to Fujifilm Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Generates hazardous waste, labels containers, and meets other container storage requirements. Transports them to less than 90-day storage. Prepares hazardous waste for disposal, such as, filling waste tankers and coordinating these pickups. 

Required Skills/Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months working in a manufacturing process or equivalent experience
  • Must meet the physical demands list below.
  • This position requires usually working a 10-hour shift rotation. The associate will receive the work schedule two weeks in advance. Work hours may change based on business needs (shuffling between work areas and manpower shortages from absences)
  • Required to detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass required safety training such as lockout tagout, hazard communication, ISO, etc.
  • Requires forklift certification and to operate different types of powered forklift trucks.

Manufacturing Project Engineer
The Project Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering elements of a project throughout its lifecycle. This role ensures the successful translation of engineering designs into practical applications, maintaining technical integrity, adherence to standards, and alignment with project goals. What you will do:
+ Support the design, specification, installation, start up, troubleshooting, and improvement of packaging equipment and systems.
+ Develop all aspects of project management; project definition, project planning, capital expenditure management, and technology transfer associated with capital projects, new materials, and new products conferring with management.
+ Support the technology transfer for the packaging/finishing area and supports plant engineering with implementation of new capital projects, new packages, and packaging features.
+ Develop and maintain specifications, technical documentation, and procedures for processes and equipment which are consistent with Factory Performance and Reliability goals and support Quality and Safety Standards.
+ Develop, validate, and transfer factory SOPs associated with new products, packaging, and process improvements.
+ Support the development and implementation of process improvements (reliability, waste, product quality, safety margin) to meet business needs.
+ Develop new insights and drive innovative engineering and processing solutions to reduce costs and improve process capability and quality.
+ Serve as primary resource to the operations and quality team for issues involving design, process changes and equipment modification by soliciting feedback and driving continuous improvement.
+ Develop working procedures/instructions and machine settings to maintain an optimal machine operation.
+ Support plant Quality needs in identifying quality defects and driving resolution both internally and with suppliers.
+ Supports the implementation of specific standardization, simplification and margin improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
+ Working knowledge of EOHS and Quality standards required.
+ Total of 4+ years of functional experience that includes cGMP manufacturing with an emphasis on project management/engineering from project concept through implementation as well as experience managing capital projects, budget and contractors required.
+ Must be proficient in Statistical Process Control, and Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of cGMP and IQ/OQ/PQ validation.
+ **Knowledge of the CEB Capital Procurement preferred.**

**Compensation and Benefits**
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

  • Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary
  • Order parts, supplies and equipment
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, machinery, and equipment
  • Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested
  • Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Supports the Plant’s Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years maintenance experience including machine repair and electrical diagnostic of extrusion (plastic) and thermoforming equipment.
  • Moves and lifts heavy objects and capable of repairing and operating production equipment.
  • Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions. Sits or stands for a prolonged period.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to make good decisions and troubleshoot in a high-pressure environment.
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Ability to work safely, willingness to train in cross-functional areas, and work overtime as needed.

Manufacturing Technician/Production Operator

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina, United States (On-site)

Job Scope:

A Technician works in a high performing team that is responsible for keeping production flowing, delivering targeted performance goals, and for maintaining the high level of quality that Customers expect from our products. Under general supervision, operates, monitors, maintains, and recommend improvements. Operate equipment in accordance with standards by specifications and operating instructions. Adjusts equipment for best performance and continuously improve standards.

This position reports to the shift Supervisor and the work schedule are a fixed day or night shift of 12 hours 2-2-3 system.

At the start of employment, you will be working two 8 hour days from 8am-4:30pm for Orientation and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effective shift exchange or pass down with performance data and troubleshooting information.
  • Strictly adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety standards and regulations without posing a threat to the safety of others
  • Maintain Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Ensures production data is recorded and accurate.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks based on training and qualifications.
  • Perform changeovers, tool set-ups, and machine adjustments to define center lines.
  • Perform project and process improvement tasks to qualify materials and products on equipment.
  • Identify and correct line abnormalities, ensure to communicate to the Supervisor and team members.
  • Escalate problem(s) encountered to the Manufacturing supervisor.
  • Work together and assist engineers (process, equipment, maintenance, Industrial) during evaluations, problem solving, experiments, and improvements.
  • Improve and maintain a clean work environment by following 5S housekeeping and production area cleaning standards.
  • Improve personal capability by learning and performing improved levels of equipment improvement by developing improved standards of operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to operate and maintain automated equipment, computer systems and/or product distribution systems.
  • Ability to motivate and enable self and others to achieve goals by leveraging strengths and removing barriers to success.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multiple groups (peers, managers, etc.)
  • Demonstrate motivation and be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to comprehend and document data.
  • Must possess the analytical ability to understand safety hazards and trainable duties as put forth in safety / training programs.
  • Can fix and troubleshoot of routine and on-routine problems.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by team leadership or Supervisor. Able to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge and ability work on a computer or similar device
Education and Experience:
  • Ideally a high school diploma or similar
  • Minimum 2+ Years in Manufacturing
  • Must have experience working on shifts
Working conditions:
  • Must be able to stand and walk 90% of shift - 12 hours per workday.
  • Day Shift 6:45am-7pm / Night Shift: 6:45pm-7am
  • Must be physically able to reach 5ft while lifting 10.31 pounds (very frequently).
  • Must be physically able to bend and stoop to pick up items 2ft from the ground (very frequently)
  • No long fingernails allowed - all fingernails must be kept short

Our Plant Operates 24/7. The shifts we have available work on a 2:2:3 schedule. Meaning working 2 days on - 2 days off then 3 days on - so that each employee works every other weekend. Our shifts go for days starting at 7am - 7pm and then for nights 7pm - 7am.
