Senior Cost Accountant

Maclean Power Systems is seeking a talented Senior Cost Accountant. In this role, the Cost Accountant serves as a cross-functional liaison for internal reporting, KPI development, and profitability projections. This role will be primarily responsible for maintaining accurate product costing through variance analyses, managing discretionary spend to budget, and overseeing inventory control.

This role is based in our facility located in Stockton, CA .

What Youll Do

  • Develop accurate cost standards
  • Perform cost audits and variance analyses
  • Identify margin improvement opportunities
  • Provide timely updates on key performance indicators
  • Assist the operations team with ad-hoc analyses
  • Complete month-end close responsibilities as necessary
  • Ensure accurate inventory quantities and valuation
  • Maintain effective cost structure - proper classifications, timely recognition, & controlled spending
  • Partner with IT in developing reporting capabilities
  • Foster a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education

What Youll Need To Excel In This Role

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant discipline
  • At least 4 years of cost accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment Competencies/ Skills
  • Oracle JD Edwards or similar ERP familiarity
  • MS Excel proficiency charting/graphing, pivot tables, v-lookups, and logic formulas
  • Critical reasoning, solution-based thinking, and research skills
  • Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Crystal Creamery is currently looking for Lab Technician for our Dairy Manufacturing Plant in Modesto.

The Lab Technician with general direction shall perform routine laboratory and administrative duties, assist other lab members professionally and respectfully, keep accurate and legible records, have the ability to prioritize work assignments effectively, in addition to reviewing work for quality and completeness.

The Lab Technician will also safely operate testing equipment involving potential chemical and temperature hazards, accurately identify and restock lab supplies to maintain a current lab supply and inventory rotation, prepare samples, media and solutions for testing, high acceptance of performing other related duties and projects as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to include Foss FTIR, Brix, pH meter, EQA, CEM, scales, and pipettes.

• Perform organoleptic testing on required product samples including fresh and at code products

• Perform accurate physiochemical and microbiological preparation, testing, counting and examinations of raw materials, in process products, and finished goods.

• Approve release of in process and finished products including "first off" testing, while verifying adherence to stated specification.

• Record and enters data, creates COA's, and other reports, promptly and accurately.

• Maintain various production, raw material, testing, and quality control records in an organized manner.

• Report and take necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring.

• Perform pre-operational checks and sanitation inspections in adherence to filler release procedure.

• Perform environmental swabbing, line checks, allergen tests, special projects, and any other duties as assigned.

• Apply proper aseptic sample collection, transport, storage testing, and disposal.

• Follow all company Safety Policies, Good Lab Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Proficient in the use of standard computer software, i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of US customary units and metric system including weights and measures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or related field or 2 years experience.

The individual will join our Centrotherm Manufacturing Team reporting to our shift supervisor. The ideal candidate is responsible for fabricating components of our InnoFlue line of polypropylene vent system components through a variety of processes including, cutting, routing and plastic welding.
