Working as Full-time Buyer, you will work with a specific customer in the Canton area and will report to the General Manager for the On-Site branch. You will be part of a group that has assumed the sourcing and/or procurement responsibilities for a customer, overseeing all facets of the sourcing and/or procurement process. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the customer's procurement process by receiving, placing, and following up with orders
- Responding to customer requests while demonstrating efficiency
- Developing and maintaining relationships with the Customer, Sales Team, Product Development Department, Suppliers, and Supply Chain Department

2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.
Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security
What you'll do:
- Support production and on-time delivery of antenna product lines.
- Work directly with design engineering to implement DFM principles to reduce cost and assembly time, including
- Evaluate GD&T and tolerance stack ups
- Evaluate materials selection and fabrication processes
- Evaluate cost implications on design choices
- Help translate design requirements into manufacturing outputs
- Suggest feature or part changes for ease of assembly
- Design ground support equipment (GSE), fixturing and tooling to aid in manufacturing.
- Research and implement cutting edge manufacturing assembly technologies, especially with an emphasis on automation and robotics
- Contribute to supplier selection process to ensure the appropriate level of workmanship quality and cost is established
- Provide hands-on support for manufacturing & test technicians.
- Serve as point of contact for non-conforming product. Troubleshoot and investigate failures to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions, focusing on standardizing across projects and products while streamlining workflow of hardware through needed work centers.
- Develop and/or improve manufacturing process specifications to standardize processes that are shared among company projects.
- Understand in-house business systems including Configuration Data Management tools, Manufacturing Execution System, MRP, PLM, manufacturing shop floor control, and internal status reporting.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Key Job Requirements:
- BS or in an Engineering field or equivalent discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in at least one core product area: Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing
- Proficiency with interpreting technical engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical documents including test and integration procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills and an ability to lead group discussions with both internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio)
- Related technical experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 and its impact on manufacturing and inspection.
- Experience with CAD systems (Solidworks preferred) and can design tooling and ground support equipment (GSE) to aid in manufacturing.
- Hands on experience with assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies and/or manufacturing of precision parts (machining, additive manufacturing).
