As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic/Technician at MAPEI, you'll be an essential part of our commitment to operational excellence and safety. Our Maintenance Team ensures equipment reliability through routine maintenance and brings expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex machinery issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to perform repairs and preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including machinery, instruments, power systems, and piping.
- Complete thorough repairs and proactively initiate work orders based on preventive maintenance (PM) or predictive maintenance (PdM) findings.
- Maximize equipment reliability by efficiently executing work orders and PM tasks.
- Accurately document activities, resources, and completion codes.
- Analyze reports to recommend improvements for asset operability, reliability, and safety.
- Request necessary repair parts as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Conduct maintenance in compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines, and environmental regulations.
- Track and meet maintenance KPIs to achieve performance goals.
- Perform diverse technical tasks, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Inspector/QA Specialist with over 7 years of experience in mechanical systems inspection, construction oversight, and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems, and will ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality protocols. This role involves frequent travel to various job sites to perform inspections, document findings, and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues. Familiarity with ICC/codes is a must. This is 5 days a week onsite, anywhere from 40-60 hours depending on the general contractors schedule. Day to day can include but is not limited to:
- Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical systems during construction and renovation phases.

- Identify and report non-conformances, and verify corrective actions.

* Pulls finished goods off the conveyor belt to fill boxes, cartons and pails following packing instructions on bill of material. Runs job per instructions and asks questions if instructions are not clear.
* Visually inspects finished goods and removes broken or damaged product.
* Visually inspects each container for print color, package quality, wrapper quality and printing quality.
* Performs a count or weighs each carton, container or pallet to ensure the proper amount and product is packaged, places product literature in container, closes and seals container and places container on pallet or in staging area.
* Operates a casing machine to seal containers, shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets and regrind mill.
* Record information such as weight, time, date and completes identification tickets.
* Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.

* Chemical Manufacturing Industry experience preferred
* Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds

Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is to install, maintain and repair machine tools, mechanical equipment and electronic apparatus.
Job Responsibilities:

Operates and observes equipment for the purpose of trouble shooting problems and testing performance of equipment.

Reads work orders and sees that jobs are performed per work order. Asks questions if work order is not clear.

Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Repairs equipment rebuilds equipment and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Installs equipment, devices, and instruments.

Performs preventative maintenance such as lubricating equipment, changing filters, inspecting parts for wear and cleaning equipment. Logs preventative maintenance activity in preventative maintenance program records.

Working with supervisor, initiates purchase orders for parts and equipment.

Makes an entry to logbook. Logbook documents problems and serves as the maintenance record for the plant and equipment.

Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.

Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and maintenance activities.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Ability to read, write and speak English so that individual can document problems in log, can read technical manuals and parts catalogues.

Requires a minimum of three years prior experience as a maintenance mechanic, technical courses, and ability to perform basic math and to use measurements and the ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.

Individuals work with tools and instruments such as drill press, simple hand tools, micrometers, welding equipment, and drafting equipment.

May work with PC.

The employee is frequently required to stand, lift, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and walk.

Must be able to lift 100 pounds and to work in uncomfortable positions for prolonged periods.

Employee may be exposed to various chemicals.

Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is to install, maintain and repair machine tools, mechanical equipment and electronic apparatus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operates and observes equipment for the purpose of trouble shooting problems and testing performance of equipment.
- Reads work orders and sees that jobs are performed per work order. Asks questions if work order is not clear.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Repairs equipment rebuilds equipment and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Installs equipment, devices, and instruments.
- Performs preventative maintenance such as lubricating equipment, changing filters, inspecting parts for wear and cleaning equipment. Logs preventative maintenance activity in preventative maintenance program records.
- Working with supervisor, initiates purchase orders for parts and equipment.
- Makes an entry to logbook. Logbook documents problems and serves as the maintenance record for the plant and equipment.
- Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.
- Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to read, write and speak English so that individual can document problems in log, can read technical manuals and parts catalogues.
- Requires a minimum of three years prior experience as a maintenance mechanic, technical courses, and ability to perform basic math and to use measurements and the ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- Individuals work with tools and instruments such as drill press, simple hand tools, micrometers, welding equipment, and drafting equipment.
- May work with PC.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, lift, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and walk.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds and to work in uncomfortable positions for prolonged periods.
- Employee may be exposed to various chemicals.
- Must be able to wear a respirator and/or other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary to reduce exposure.
- Must be able to work in heat and cold.

This Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading trucks and/or moving materials within or near the plant for the purpose of storing material, supplying production lines, or moving needed materials and supplies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads shipping/receiving paperwork or receives oral instructions to obtain materials or containers to be moved. Makes sure that job is run per documentation and asks questions if structure is not clear.

- Lift objects by hand, with pallet jacks or forklift. Cleans forklift and sees that forklift is charged.
- Keeps area clean and orderly and reports unsafe working conditions to supervisor.
- Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.
- Recommends measures to improve material handling process and procedures.

- 1-3 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment and material handler/forklift operator preferred

**About the Role**
Caterpillar's Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Order-to-Delivery (MSOD) Intern program seeks students currently enrolled in a four-year university to work alongside manufacturing professionals to learn and apply themselves to project work within their teams.
Interns will have assignments that provide them with experience and significant learning opportunities. In addition to this work, Interns can network with management throughout the company to learn about Caterpillar areas outside their assigned team. Students can deepen their business skills in their assignments through team and business partner interactions, develop their skills, conduct presentations, and measure their success through the performance and evaluation process.
**What You Will Do**
You'll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. The internship is a 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks.

+ **Manufacturing** **Engineering ** : Responsible and accountable for enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes in our facilities, monitoring equipment and process reliability, identifying and addressing problem areas and providing engineering support on equipment, processes, or facilities
+ **Quality** : Analyzing non-conformance data and maintaining quality system documentation. Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up response of corrective action from audit. Interacting with manufacturing team members to determinethe root cause of quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventive action is implemented.
+ **Automation:** Collecting and researching data on customer experience with robotic platforms. Documenting architecture specifications, software design description, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures. Utilizing appropriate tools to debug, test and maintain software and hardware systems of robotic tools; assisting in the verification and validation process. Participating in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
