As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be overseeing and optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality. The type of material is expected to be electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical. **Primary Responsibilities**
+ Managing Manufacturing Orders to meet project schedules.
+ Implementing procedures & techniques to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently and effectively.
+ Use of MES software (Solumina) to implement, track, monitor, and control manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.
+ Generation and maintenance of Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMS).
+ Generate routings inside Solumina to account for accurate run times.
+ Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects.
+ Identify and reduce risks in the production processes.
+ Plan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation.
+ Responsible for executing Configuration & Data Management processes & controls for managing & tracking changes.
+ Defines manufacturing processes, procedures and production flow for assembly, integration & test of space products.
+ Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple projects. Organize and schedule production activities, and resources; including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet production goals.to meet production targets.
+ Resolve problems related to production jobs such as configuration changes, engineering changes, material issues, schedule priority, etc.
+ Monitor production status of jobs to ensure they meet schedule requirements & report job status to management using spreadsheets, custom reports, etc.
+ Overseeing & optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.
+ Expedite jobs as required & clearing any material Shortages.
+ Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes within our department.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering with at least 8 relevant experience or a Master's Degree with at least 6 years prior relevant experience in an engineering field.
+ Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
+ Six or more years of experience with Manufacturing, Assembly & Integration experience with electrical, electromechanical, structural, and/or mechanical components.
+ Experience with utilizing MRP and experience with ERP/PLM/MES systems.
+ Proficient understanding of GD&T.
+ Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with test operations including set-up calibration & operation of GSE used in the production process.
+ Experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration & test processes, procedure development & implementation.
+ Hands-on experience with electronics and/or structural assembly processes and equipment including some of these: soldering, mechanical assembly, epoxy dispensing and curing, conformal coating, thermal interface material dispense/application, Automated Optical Inspection, component/assembly test, etc.
+ Experience in project scheduling, Agile or Windchill configuration management & Solumina MES software.

**Required for Both Levels:**
+ Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
+ Experience with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tool and or Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
+ Experience with electrical connections, cable harness installation, and stakeholder review within the design process.
+ Experience support Design Reviews, PFMEA Creation, DFM, Non-Conformance creation/support and Shop Floor support.
+ Candidate will have sound technical experience and understanding of Production Processes for Assembly, Fabrication, Planning & Tooling.
+ Understanding of tooling strategies for high-rate production, and document control. Possess a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, advise and guide team members in the challenging environment of a startup program.
**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**
+ Experience with Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) or other missile systems
+ Experience managing/coordinating technical projects (Cost, schedule and technical performance).
+ Experience identifying and mitigating producibility requirements.
+ Experience working with sub-tier suppliers.
+ Knowledge of AS6500/AS9100 requirements.
Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $16,400.00Salary Range 2: 95,800.00 - 143,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Leidos is seeking a Manufacturing Program Integrator to join our Platform Integration team located in Huntsville, Alabama. The position will perform a key function serving as the primary integration point between the Persistent Surveillance Program and the Leidos Defense Sector Manufacturing Team. This role will integrate manufacturing activities across multiple sites to ensure appropriate planning, organizing, and efficient execution of manufacturing and testing scope for the ALPS program. Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the manufacturing and test content.

  • Partner with Program Leadership in support of proposal and capture efforts of potential opportunities.

  • Partner with Program Leadership to identify manufacturing and testing content in the program and coordinate make/buy decision making with Manufacturing functional team.

  • Coordinate manufacturing-related budgets/costs with Program finance and Manufacturing finance to ensure successful execution and appropriate capacity planning.

  • Coordinate hand-offs with site-specific CAMs on manufacturing content and establish recurring reviews to status cost/schedule/technical performance across the manufacturing sites.

  • Partner with Manufacturing site and functional leadership to develop Basis of Estimates for total manufacturing and testing work scope.

  • Partner with Manufacturing site and functional leadership to drive cost and schedule performance in support of Program objectives using KPI's and Metrics.

  • Provide variance analysis, rationale, and corrective action plans as required by the Programs and/or Manufacturing.

  • Provide manufacturing and testing related inputs to Program leadership in support of recurring program reviews.

  • Lead/develop elements of the manufacturing plan, as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline with at least 8 or more years of experience in manufacturing management with an in-depth understanding of cost and schedule management techniques for such projects.

  • Eight years of project leadership, or personnel management in a manufacturing program/project environment.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Account Manager on a complex hardware production program.

  • Experience coordinating and organizing activities between a Program organization and an executing organization such as manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated experience in applying EVMS and reporting on complex projects using earned value KPIs.

  • Manufacturing experience in one or more of the following areas - electronics, machining/welding, or complex system integration and test.

  • Experience creating and providing recurring briefings to leadership stakeholders on program/product status.

  • Experience with a program start-up, plant optimization and/or plant operations.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management for Defense, Aerospace or Commercial projects.

  • Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering training and applicable experience.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

  • Experience with AS9100 and DCMA standards.

  • Experience conducting Manufacturing Risk and Readiness Assessments.

  • Familiarity with the DoD Manufacturing Readiness Levels.

  • Experience with Costpoint MRP.

  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems.

  • Experience leading a cross-functional team with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Manufacturing.

  • Experience planning hardware product realization efforts.

  • Program/Project Management experience. PMP/PMI Certification a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI, advanced Excel usage, SQL queries, and advanced data reporting/management.
