**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical/integration drawings.

**Basic Qualifications**

REQUIRED FOR THE ENGINEER III – Manufacturing, concentration on Electrical Controls
- Four-year college degree in an Engineering discipline preferred. Two Year college degree and/or five years’ engineering support experience required.
- Five or more years of experience in an engineering support position.
- Effectively manages small projects or sub-teams, including coordination of resources outside of their own area.
- Forecasts and plans resource requirements for small projects or sub-teams.
- Monitors and controls costs within own work and may manage costs for small projects or areas.
- Knowledge of the existing manufacturing systems including computer systems, steel making processes, material flow and handling schemes, quality systems and process control techniques.
- Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests.
- Works independently to address a range of standard and non-standard situations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions, to perform assignments with general direction, and to operate a computer workstation and the appropriate software/hardware.
- Ability to work in a production-oriented environment, to train and develop others, and to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Willing to work in a fast- paced, ever-changing work environment.

As the primary point of contact for daily operations, you’ll be responsible for ensuring production meets safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
In this role, you’ll lead efforts to enhance process capability, reduce absenteeism and workmanship issues, and optimize materials and tooling. You’ll provide technical leadership in Lean initiatives such as line balancing, 5S, and real-time process management, while also managing budgets, labor resources, and workforce schedules.

Operating on a 4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM), the position may occasionally require support on Fridays or weekends during production recovery periods. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing manufacturing methods, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting quality initiatives, and leading new product launches. The engineer will also estimate costs, standardize processes, and manage capital projects.
