Job Description
This position must comply with all Security Guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.
1. Assures that all manufacturing documentation related to operation, cleaning is completed as required by manufacturing instructions.
2. Cleans and sanitizes rooms (manufacturing room, Warehouse and QC labs), storage containers (bins or vessels), and process equipment according to standard operating procedures.
3. Documents all cleanings on the chronological record/cleaning register.
4. Weighs and checks raw materials. Assembles, cleans, and sanitizes process equipment/materials, monitors processes.
5. Completes work instructions and maintains clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements.
6. Assists in maintaining material and components inventory level.
7. Supports safe work environment.
8. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
9. Receives, trains on and understanding of general instructions on routine work.
10. Work in teams and have continual interaction with members of his/her team as well as other manufacturing teams throughout the production process to exchange information regarding the rooms in process.
11. Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment that requires gowning.
12. Required to carry and/or lift to 30 pounds several times a day while handling production equipment and/or materials.
13. Required to push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds several times a day while handling production equipment and/or materials.
14. Work in areas that may have strong magnets.
15. Work in areas where handling human blood products (Biosafety Level 2) may be required.
16. May work in areas with exposure to vapor phase liquid nitrogen.
17. Must be able to work nights, weekends, mandatory bi-weekly overtime, and holidays in a 12-hour shift structure.

We are seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. This role is pivotal in applying innovative solutions and advanced technologies to solve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges at both the system and component levels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transition from development to production, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for production-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Manage non-conforming materials and lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC).
- Create and update shop orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support continuous production flow.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and test engineering teams to support both development and production programs.

+ Specify, procure, and validate tooling/fixtures/test equipment; collaborate with maintenance, metrology and service.
+ Drive root-cause and corrective action; implement robust process controls and mistake-proofing (poka-yoke).
+ Execute process validation and qualification; develop control plans and PFMEAs.
+ Support change management (ECOs/PCNs); ensure smooth implementation with training and documentation updates.
+ Ensure EHS/OSHA compliance and ergonomic best practices, champion a safe, organized workplace.
+ Provide on-the-floor support for daily production issues; train operators/technicians in new processes and equipment.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 4-6+ years in manufacturing/process engineering for discrete or electromechanical products.
+ Proven Lean problem-solving and data-driven decision making (SPC, Pareto, 5-Whys, fishbone; basic DOE).
+ Proficiency with CAD for fixture/design review (e.g., Creo/SolidWorks/Inventor)
+ Hands-on experience with process documentation (WI/SOPs), routings, and change control (ECO).
+ Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems and basic cost/throughput modeling (takt, capacity, labor/burden).
+ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration; clear technical writing.
+ Knowledge of automation/controls basics (PLC/HMI, sensors, pneumatics, vision) and fixture design.
