To describe the manufacturing technician position duties and responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- Produce float glass in accordance with all SOP's and customer specifications.
- Cut, pack, and store stoce and blocksize glass per SOP's.
- Ensure produced parts meet customer specifications.
- Load/Unload product and/or material and supplies as required and specified.
- Encapsulate and/or assemble components to glass.
- Fabricate parts as specified in SOPs to meet customer requirements.
- Pack finished product according to customer requirements.
- Respond to process emergencies as required.
- Adhere to housekeeping standards.
- Participate in all audits: SOP Audits, Safety Audits, internal audit, cross facility, management and third-party registration audits. (These are not an all-inclusive list, but the most common examples).
- Participate in required training and successfully complete required assessments or testing to verify understanding and knowledge.
- Team Members are responsible for adhering to work standardization and associated training requirements.
- SPC data collection as required.
- Required to assist in training of others.
- Adhere to 5S and housekeeping standards and responsible for clean-up of work areas upon completion of tasks.
- Other duties as assigned. Such as training other operators once qualified on specific tasks.
- Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to work a 12-hour schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The role involves prolonged periods of standing and walking, often exceeding 12 hours per day. Candidates must be able to climb stairs, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance in various working environments. The role will require the use of various PPE* items including but not limited to safety glasses, hi-vis clothing, respiratory, etc.
- The position also requires the ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift items over 50 pounds. Occasionally exposed to plant environment including noise, dust, dirt and vibrations, extreme climate changes. Availability to work for extended periods during emergency repair work. A successful candidate must be physically capable of performing these tasks safely and consistently in a manufacturing setting.

We currently have several openings in our Manufacturing - Inspection Department. These positions do not require prior industry experience - WE WILL TRAIN YOU. Attention to detail, basic math skills, and a desire to work are necessary qualities.
Inspection - Essential Duties
The quality of our tools is extremely important to their intended performance. The Inspection employee will use appropriate inspection processes (visual and dimensional), use measuring equipment, and read blueprints to ensure our tools meet the necessary specifications and quality control standards that have been established.
As an Inspection employee, you will handle in-process inspections, first part inspecitons and second approvals. You will also do the SPC tracking, and provide alerts when adjustments are needed, as well as confirm the correction after adjustment. You may also have to help with daily reports for the engineering team.
IMCO employees are expected to adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures. IMCO's primary safety goal is that all of our employees return home at the end of their workday without injury and without illness.

Inspection employees may work in a production area, where there may be contact with natural oils, synthetic oils, and various grinding dusts. Due to the nature of our product, proper handling of cutting tools is necessary to prevent injury. Proper instruction, training, and PPE is provided for the specific job or duty.

What You’ll Tackle- Own compliance to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, ensuring process conformity and first-time-right execution.
- Create, maintain, and improve PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow documentation.
- Develop and validate inspection and test procedures; verify effectiveness on the shop floor.
- Lead containment for nonconforming product; deploy corrective and preventive actions with embedded lessons learned.
- Run process/product audits and capability reviews to confirm stability and performance.
- Author clear reports and KPIs; translate data into decisive actions.
- Support policy development and provide training to elevate quality maturity across teams.
Expect a hands-on environment with occasional urgent needs. Flex to support critical plant issues approximately 1–2 times per month, which may not always require being on site.
What You Bring Required- Minimum 2 years in a quality role within automotive or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Intermediate exposure to machining or assembly processes.
- Audit execution and compliance assurance experience.
- BS in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Experience in driveline or broader automotive manufacturing.
- Proficiency with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow mapping.
- Analytical thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Results-focused decision-maker.
- Compliance-first, detail-oriented approach.
- Data translator who drives decisions with evidence.
- Comfort using systems-based quality management.
- Applied understanding of IATF 16949 requirements and core tools.
- Practical know-how in machining and/or assembly operations.

- Documentation control within manufacturing quality systems.
Travel up to 20% to support plants and quality initiatives.
