Job Description
Under the guidance of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician associate assembles products such as manifolds, small assembly's, power units, etc. They will work closely with both the Customer Service and Engineering departments to accomplish the necessary jobs. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
General Shop Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment
- Support 6S and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Provide feedback to supervisors regarding issues or opportunities for improvement
- Move materials and assemblies using forklifts and overhead cranes (with proper training)
- Participate in cross-training and assist other departments as needed
- Assemble hydraulic assemblies using technical drawings and schematics
- Install and connect fluid power components
- Perform repeatable tube bending and light fabrication
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and shop equipment (drill press, band saw, chop saw)
- Use adhesives, lubricants, solvents, epoxies, and related materials
- Follow detailed work instructions and record labor activity
- Conduct hydraulic pressure and leak tests to verify system integrity and performance
- Clean and inspect components prior to and after assembly
- Identify and correct non-conforming products
- Document results and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Return unused parts and materials to inventory
- Communicate with team members, engineering, and supervisors to resolve issues
- Respond to routine emails, calls, or work documentation tasks as required
- Read, interpret, and follow special instructions, schematics, and test documentation
- Ensure job paperwork is complete and filed appropriately

To service and support manufacturing operations in the form of maximizing production output via expedient machine repair, procurement of repair parts, preventive maintenance, safety and maintaining building systems.

Compensation: $34-$2/hour based on skill set with 1.20 night shift premiums and 1.5x pay on Sundays!

**Senior Manufacturing Engineer** **R39291**
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all detailed processes in connection with manufacturing, routings, and time studies. This role will review new releases for design and manufacturing and support with recommendations for new equipment and tooling. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide shop support to aid in improving the coordination and collaboration between Engineering and Operations departments.
**YOUR IMPACT:**
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
+ Responsible for completion of a project or parts of multiple projects of complexity on time and utilize lean/six sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements.
+ Have a good understanding of takt time and cycle time and capable of doing calculations to define takt time and setup production line with respect to it.
+ Perform time studies for the current line and analyze imbalance in the line and do line balancing.
+ Create Yamazumi charts for line balancing.
+ Propose changes required to balance the line to operations team and get it implemented.
+ Collaborate as needed with other engineering business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally. May have exposure to the external customers and/or industry organizations.
+ Performs complex engineering calculations, investigations, and prepares delivery of plans, designs, computation methods and/or reporting.
+ Identification, analysis, and assessment of manufacturing processes for transformative change improvements.
+ Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
+ Assist in new tooling and equipment launch projects.
+ Processing and implementing engineered change notifications throughout the facility. Create standard work instructions for the changes and coordinate changes with operations team.
+ Assists in design for manufacturability for new product development through participation on cross functional product design teams. Establishes production process procedures and measurement parameters for new products and processes. Provides marketing and engineering with cost of new, redesigned, and current products.
+ Determine appropriate assembly fixturing that are complex in nature.
+ Review and select required special tooling and equipment.
+ Determine and improve processes to meet production levels.
+ Collaborate with Production/Operations team and product Engineering teams.
+ Develop and support recommendations for new equipment and tooling.
+ Responsible for execution of assigned CI projects; also responsible for identifying projects that may lead to improved safety, service, quality, and cost.
+ Create & provide capital improvement justification for improvements in quality & cost.
+ Provide technical mentorship and guidance to others within the Engineering organization.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
+ Five (5) or more years of experience.

82,000.00 - 132,800.00

Overall responsibility over engineering team(s) working on manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, design online, and tooling design projects. Ownership over development and continuous refinement of manufacturing processes within one or more facilities. Responsible for manufacturing readiness of new product development projects.
**YOUR IMPACT**
1. Participate in the budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and preparing justification data as required
2. Researches, studies, and proposes use of new technologies to be used to improve manufacturing processes.
3. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues
4. Communicate project objectives to team members
5. Participate in all phases of the NPD process to ensure product launches are successful in manufacturing.
6. Evaluate designs for manufacturability.
7. Create and maintain project documentation for project planning, requirements analysis, risk management, issues management, status reporting, project communication, and quality assurance

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

The Digital Manufacturing Operations Manager is the responsible for the effectiveness of the MES enterprise solution to satisfy Customer, Regulatory and Plexus Quality Management Systems. The role will continually work with manufacturing to identify when systems solutions are required.
The Digital Manufacturing Operations Manager is accountable for understanding the requirements of the business, customers, and manufacturing operations related to MES applications, architecture and other digital operational system requirements (referred to as MES TEN+). By working with cross-functional stakeholders including end-users, to understand the business and operations requirements the MGR DMO will support development with the wider digital operations organization.
Key Job Accountabilities:
* MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT: Define methods and standards for program development, lead requirements capture and coordinate with corporate IT team for gap closure as required. Lead configuration control of applications and drive site User Group meetings in order to drive compliance and standardization. Accountable for both the business analysis and solution implementation to deliver solutions that support zero defects, perfect delivery, customer service excellence, operational efficiency and an intuitive user experience. This includes responsibility for business analysis and solution development therefore developing MES Systems aligned with the business and customer needs.
* MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS DEPLOYMENT : Responsibilities include leading deployment of solutions and full documentation control through the wider regional and site deployment teams, applying coaching and influencing.
Inspire and Lead Engineering Change within the region, including new technology implementation, global and regional initiatives and best practices.
* MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS PROGRAM AND EQUIPMENT ACCEPTANCE: Lead software installation, customer-specific application development and software validation protocol standards.
* NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION: Lead characterization of Manufacturing Systems strategies and solutions, including customer data analysis, automated placement programming, creation of certified drawings and characterization of Bill of Material (BOM) components.
