The hourly rate for this position is $16.50 per hour.

**What you'll do:**
**Primary Function:**
Direct and indirect hourly labor positions are responsible for hands-on product manufacturing, material movement and storage, assembly and quality testing.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Active involvement in creating a safe work place and following safety best practices.
+ Work on cross functional Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve manufacturing process efficiency and customer quality and delivery performance.
+ Assemble products using machines and hand tools.
+ Test assemblies using test machinery.
+ Inspection of parts using fixtures, gages, and other inspection equipment.
+ Shipping/Receiving dock, stockroom, material movement, and packaging activities.
+ Extensive use of computers to view and edit manufacturing documents, transact inventory, and enter/track/maintain/analyze production data.

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the High-Performance Work team including day to day floor support, tooling design, gauging, quality, and efficiency. **What you'll do:**
- Maintain and improve safe and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes.
- Use MESH (Eaton Environmental, Safety and Health process), and other Eaton and industry standard practices.
- Design processes to ensure that components and assemblies meet all internal and external customer quality specifications (Eaton Quality System, AS9100, and NADCAP).
- Ensure efficiency tied to capital intensity and human resources by utilizing Eaton LEAN and Six Sigma tools.
- Active membership of a High-Performance Work Team (HPWT)/Focus Factory to support on-time delivery of customer orders through the manufacturing process excellence, including troubleshooting machine and tooling problems, supporting the DMR process, and implementing continuous flow concepts.
- Maintain and improve product flow through the plant through reduced Defective material Report (DMR) and Process stop occurrences. Resolve issue quickly when product stops occur.
- Design gaging, and tooling utilizing CATIA solid modeling software and other engineering analysis and design tools. Work with suppliers and purchasing to procure tooling and supplies as required.
- Create and maintain pFMEAs, process routers, equipment PMs and Process documents to ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are achieved.
- Troubleshoot, recommend and implement changes in products and processes to improve manufacturability and profitability (cost out). Work directly with production associates, from all areas of the plant, in the implementation of projects to build an inclusive culture and processes that meet the needs of all employees and customers.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes or products including scrap and defective material report (DMR) system.
- Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
- Provide functional and technical support to the HPWT within the assigned area of focus as well as the organization as required to support goals.
- Provide support to launch projects through ProLaunch team as required to achieve a flawless launch.

**Program Summary:**

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. Quality & Process Control Engineer - The Quality & Process Control Engineer will work in concert with Manufacturing, R&D, Central Engineering, Product Management and other critical functional areas on key business projects with a specific focus on product quality and process control through process engineering activities and tools.- The Quality & Process Control Engineer will plan and conduct experiments for current and future production processes and will have an active role in key platform development projects.- Further, the Quality & Process Control Engineer will leverage data science tools for process modeling to achieve continual improvement in plant quality and process KPI's.- The Quality & Process Control Engineer will lead/assist in quality planning activities, cost reduction initiatives, capital projects, and World Class Manufacturing.- This individual will pose as the site's Champion of the internal MES system purposed with production and quality data management.
