Available Shifts- 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm M-Th

- 4th Shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm F-Su
- Perform equipment preparation in a sterile environment, bulk drug formulation, and aseptic filling duties as needed.
- Accurately document data and complete batch records as needed.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization duties as instructed by the applicable procedure.
- Successfully complete facility’s aseptic gowning and manufacturing qualification program.
- Perform duties in ISO 5 (Grade A), and ISO 7 (Grade C) cleanrooms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field is a +.
- Level I: HS Diploma or equivalent and 1+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing, medical, and/or laboratory environment.
- Level II: HS Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years relevant experience, including sterile manufacturing.
- Level III: HS Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years relevant experience, including sterile manufacturing.
- The ability to become qualified for use of a full-face respirator is required when working with hazardous chemicals.
- Use of a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is required during chemical dispense and other activities.

Overview:
A growing manufacturer in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day production and drive continuous improvement across plant operations. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a passion for team development and process excellence.
You'll oversee production teams, support cross-functional initiatives, and help implement strategies that enhance safety, quality, and output. This role offers hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams and solving real-world problems on the floor, and the chance to step into a highly visible, long-term leadership path.
What You'll Do:
- Manage production operations across multiple departments or shifts
- Lead, mentor, and coach supervisors and frontline staff
- Implement lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives
- Ensure KPIs are met for safety, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance to resolve bottlenecks and drive improvements
- Support plant-level strategic planning and capacity scaling
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- Background in production, operations, or industrial engineering
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, safety standards, and KPI management
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: experience with ERP systems, ISO certifications, or capital equipment
