We are looking for a talented manufacturing engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineers responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory and quality standards.
To be successful as a manufacturing engineer you should be able to work effectively within a team and have a high level of technical expertise. Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluating existing manufacturing and machining processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements
- Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes and workflow
- Researching and developing new processes, equipment and products
- Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems
- Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations
- Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports
Experience, Skills, and Education
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering required
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred
- Knowledge of machining processes (Horizontal, Multi-tasking, Swiss, VMC)
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery
- Experience using CAD, CAM, ERP, data analysis programs, and related software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organization and management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High level of technical expertise

You will partner with the General Manager of the Thermal Transfer Group business unit and other key stakeholders across our organization to ensure the delivery of world-class products to our customers.

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will be responsible for facilitating the transition of new products from design through manufacturing, as well as developing and implementing process improvements across the facility. This role is predominantly focused on the Jackson facility of Young Touchstone and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Leader of the business.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ BS Engineering or higher from an accredited university, prefer Mechanical.
+ 3-5 years of prior Mechanical Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred
+ Experience in developing equipment including fin machines, bar/clad plate processing, cleaning, build table, vacuum brazing, preferred.
+ Significant experience in developing Aluminum heat exchanger manufacturing processes is desired, ideally a minimum of 3-5 years.
+ Heat Exchanger performance/life cycle testing AND failure analysis a large plus.
+ Experience in continuous process/flow improvements on manufacturing processes.
+ Knowledge of Aluminum Welding technology strongly preferred
+ Requires prior working with plant layout and production flow.
+ Requires experience implementing Root Cause analysis and A3 problem solving.

+ Develop equipment specifications, manufacturing processes, cell/plant layouts for Wabtec Aluminum Brazed Heat Exchanger product line.
+ Develop and support readiness levels to enable prototype and production of new product types.
+ Work with internal and external partners to achieve program objectives: Safety, Quality, Cost, etc.
+ Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and best practices for Aluminum product line.
+ Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
+ Work to bridge fundamental R&D and Engineering projects with Operations to achieve customer requirements.

As our Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our corrugated box manufacturing operations-from machine uptime and line maintenance to staffing, safety, and P&L performance.
