Overview

Responsible for leading the operation of manufacturing to ensure production requirements are met.

Responsibilities

* Operate and/or lead the operation of machinery in manufacturing.
* Setup, operate, troubleshoot and maintain machines in manufacturing.
* Monitor machine operators for waste issues. Make recommendations to reduce waste when able.
* Ensure workstations are kept neat and orderly.
* Determine staffing levels needed for department.
* Schedule and coordinate production to meet required shipping schedules.
* Record all completed work on company approved/required documents.
* Assist other departments and employees as needed.
* Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual inventory.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Two to four years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
* Forklift Certification required.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
* Must be able to complete and pass required competencies after training and maintain acceptable levels upon annual reviews.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

**Overview**
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Director, Operations - Winston-Salem will oversee operations at our HIM Virginia facility, Warehouse operations at the HIM Winston Salem facility and lead key Operations initiatives impacting HIMVA and/or HIMWS. This role will be expected to develop short- and long-term plans for these areas as well as demonstrate leadership in developing staffing improvements and operational plans. This position will develop performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, Reliability, Agility and Cost) and ensure achievement of performance targets and continuous improvement. This position will interface with other departments to review processes, operations, and production quality and also to develop a culture and environment of collaboration and a positive, inclusive atmosphere. The Director will report to the VP, Manufacturing.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Lead warehouse operations and HIMVA manufacturing to meet and/or exceed corporate expectations for quality, productivity and customer service. Develop and implement strategies to support current and future growth needs at all levels and to achieve

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Working knowledge of materials/process/equipment i.e., characterization/effect on manufacturing environment
- Developing/writing/updating procedures
- Establishing manufacturing systems and organizations
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced Engineering degree and/or MBA
- Demonstrated previous establishment of manufacturing systems and organizations
- Lean/Six Sigma enterprise experience/practical knowledge
- Experience in Food/Dietary/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical kindred product industries with working knowledge of cGMP other regulatory environments

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging their deep understanding of Dynamics 365 FSCM modules to optimize manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, gathering and analyzing requirements, designing solutions, support, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption of the platform.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document supply chain processes, pain points, and align with D365 FSCM and global standards.

· Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for D365 FSCM solutions.

· Conduct gap analysis and recommend best practices to align business needs with D365 FSCM capabilities.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business and project goals.

· Design scalable, efficient, and effective solutions within the D365 FSCM framework to support supply chain workflows.

· Configure and customize D365 FSCM modules, including Manufacturing: production control, product information management, inventory management, and warehouse management.

· Collaborate with development teams to design custom extensions, integrations, and workflows when required.

· Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and external resources, to drive project progress and resolve issues.

· Act as the primary point of contact between business units, technical teams, and external vendors.

· Support project planning, timeline management, and status reporting to ensure project deliverables align with business goals.

· Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and change management initiatives to drive user adoption.

· Develop and execute test plans to validate system configurations, customizations, and integrations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or SCM.

· 7-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant, with a focus on D365 FSCM.

· Extensive hands-on experience with D365 FSCM, particularly within Manufacturing: production control, product information management, inventory management, and warehouse management.

· Knowledge of D365 FSCM configurations, forms, labels, reports, and integrations with third-party systems.

Job Description
The Manufacturing Cell Processing Specialist III plays a pivotal role in advanced manufacturing operations, focusing on cell processing activities while ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines. This position involves operating and maintaining production equipment such as control rate freezers and orbital shakers, performing final product freezing and storage, and driving continuous improvement. The specialist is responsible for mentoring team members, leading investigations, and ensuring high levels of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and oversee cell processing activities, ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines and manufacturing standards.
+ Read, understand, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assigned tasks, providing guidance to team members.
+ Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment such as control rate freezers and orbital shakers, ensuring optimal performance and preventive maintenance.
+ Perform final freezing and storage of cell therapy products in LN2, ensuring adherence to procedures and maintaining quality standards.
+ Revise, update, and ensure adherence to SOPs, batch records, and MS forms to maintain GMP compliance.
+ Lead routine cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory tracking and control.
+ Execute transactions within the ERP system, including material requisitions and production tracking.
+ Ensure accuracy of GMP documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and forms, adhering to Good Documentation Practices.
+ Lead investigations into deviations and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) efforts, compiling data and information as required.
+ Drive continuous process improvement, incident investigations, and deviation resolutions.
+ Ensure all activities comply with safety policies, rules, and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
+ Conduct aseptic manufacturing processes in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with sterile techniques and regulatory standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile processing.
+ Experience in cleanroom environments and cell culture.
+ Knowledge of cell biology and molecular biology.
+ Familiarity with GMP regulations.
+ Ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
+ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
+ Expertise in ERP systems.
+ Advanced organizational, record-keeping, and time management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Education/Training: AS/BS in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
+ Preferred minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in cell processing, biotechnology manufacturing, or a related field, with 2-3 years of proven expertise in a cGMP-regulated environment.
+ Ability to exercise independent judgment and lead teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
