As a Manufacturing Operator, you will measure and batch raw materials to ensure product quality, safely operate batching equipment, and comply with all regulations. You will maintain batch records, complete daily checklists, and update shift activity boards while adhering to safety policies and participating in safety meetings.
**During your 12-hour rotating shifts as a Manufacturing Operator, you will**
+ Measure and batch raw materials in accordance with precise Manufacturing guidelines and procedures so the product meets customer specifications.
+ Safely operate equipment associated with batching operations including pumps, motors, mills, tanks, ventilation systems, control panels.
+ Operate processing equipment in compliance with company training and all federal, state, and local regulations.
+ Maintain batch records, complete daily checklists, update shift activity boards.
+ Always adhere to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures, including participating in Safety meetings.

+ Earned a HS Diploma or GED .
+ Have at least 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing facility or have work skills that may transfer to a Manufacturing environment.
+ Are open to a 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.
+ Can perform physical activities such as bending and climbing stairs.
+ Are willing to wear the necessary Personal Protection Equipment, such as, hard hats, gloves, goggles, masks & sometimes respirators to ensure safety precautions are met.

The Production Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe work environment while forming, finishing and packaging castable refractory products. This position is a labor position which requires ascending and descending steps, constant movement between locations at ground level throughout the day to ensure flow and quality control of the product.
Positions start at $20.00 per hour.
Job Duties:
- Attending and participating in daily safety and tier 1 meetings.
- Mixing raw materials for casting forms, providing quality control and finishing the final product.
- Lifting and moving product/objects up to 50 pounds.
- Forming pressed shapes which includes forklift operation and steady manual labor
- Performing various types of maintenance on equipment.
- Physical Activity : Requires more than 2/3 of the time standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, hearing, tasting or smelling; requires less than 1/3 of the time sitting.
- Lifting: Requires lifting up to 10 pounds more than 2/3 of the time; and lifting more than 100 pounds less than 1/3 of the time.
- Vision : Requires accurate close, distance, color and peripheral vision, including the ability to adjust focus and use peripheral vision.

**What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?**
+ **Education:**
+ HS diploma or GED required.
+ **Technical Skills:**
+ At least 3 years of total experience in industrial maintenance, or a technical degree (Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing and Maintenance, and Electronics Engineering Technology or similar) with 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance.
+ Ability to use technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
+ Understanding of electric motors and motor systems, with essential electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability (480 volts and lower).
+ Basic familiarity with instrumentation such as level, flow, temperature, PLCs, and HMIs.
+ Robust mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, rotating equipment, fans, pneumatics, and packaging equipment.
+ **Physical Requirements:**
+ Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs., frequently walking up/downstairs, and comfortable entering confined spaces.
+ Ability to arc (stick) and MIG weld are preferred (Stainless welding a plus).
+ Must be able to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons as needed to support business demands.
+ **Communication Skills:**
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
