Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, testing, and optimizing mechanisms for space hardware. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in iterative mechanism design improvements based on test and production findings.
+ Perform tests and lead test teams. Develop testing requirements, materials, processes, and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly).
+ Participate in and execute design, analysis, and system trade studies to determine mechanism requirements at system and spacecraft levels, focusing on workflow simplicity, efficiency of handling and integration, test accommodation, and production speed.
+ Provide inputs to Design Engineering to optimize the manufacturing flow, cost, and layout, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
+ Collect, analyze, and summarize information to generate product and process reports; solicit observations from operators and technicians.
+ Execute design and analysis using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
+ Troubleshoot and investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolution.
+ Provide manufacturing engineering support to production.
Essential Skills
+ Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ 0-2+ years of previous experience as an aerospace or similar manufacturing engineer.
+ Knowledge and experience in mechanism development and testing for space hardware.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
+ Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
+ Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must be a US Person or have a permanent resident card.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with aerospace manufacturing.
+ Familiarity with space flight mechanisms, spacecraft, electronics, mechanisms, analog circuits, and digital circuits.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role located in Midland/Odessa, Texas. The position offers a supportive and collaborative work environment. Benefits include salary, stipend, relocation assistance, covered hotel room for 2-3 months, and stock options.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $11000.00/yr.
Hire comes with salary, stipend, relocation assistance, hotel room covered for 2-3 months and stock options with AST

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Helper to join their rapidly growing team. The Manufacturing Helper is responsible for retrieving the product off the conveyor, verifying documentation, and assisting the operator with jobs. The ideal candidate can stand and bending continuously throughout their 8 hours shift. 

Key Results Area 

  • Organizing the area and the product 

  • Running product within specifications 

  • Labeling, counting, and boxing of product 

  • Inspecting product for quality assurance 

  • Entering job information on product usage 

  • Maintain a clean and debris free work zone 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Basic math and reading skills 

  • Basic computer skills like Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to learn new systems

The audits could be a day, several days, weeks, it really depends on the work.The role of the auditor is to verify if the vendor is adhering to their QC Manual through their procedures and practices. Responsibilities:Responsible to note all non-conformances and communicate them to the vender so they can issue internal NCRs and CARs.Auditor should follow up with any NCRs and corrections.Review customer complaints, open/closed NCRs/CARs, NDE certifications, training records.Audit scope: (will vary depending on the audit)Complete ETC Supplier Evaluation/Verification ReportAll blanks must be answered. (pumps, valves, filtration and Separator units, compressors, vessels etc.)Preferably certified by IRCA or EquivalentMust have experience with manufacturing shops QMS Audits, review of NCRs, CARs, NDE certifications, training records, warehouse SOPs, shop SOPs, and tool calibrations, etc.Must have knowledge in fabrication and welding.Must have coating knowledge in industry coating standards.Schedule: Up to 8 hours a day - ad hoc work, not full timeAssignments will be occurring between May and September 2025 and additional audits/inspections work could be completed over the next few years.Hourly rate: $60-70 (negotiable).
