The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving improvements across assigned value streams to meet Safety, Internal and External Quality, on-time delivery, lead time reduction, and Productivity.
This role is a key part of the Value Stream leadership team, responsible for driving daily performance and leading data-driven, root-cause-based action plans to achieve breakthrough KPIs through LEAN (DBS) tools and continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Value Stream leadership team, located in New Port Richey, FL. It will be an on-site role.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. US citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Provide daily technical support to the manufacturing floor by addressing documentation, process, and material flow gaps, and lead LEAN/DBS implementation through formal and informal Kaizens.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and implement timely solutions for product and process issues; facilitate process mapping to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste.
+ Serve as project manager for KPI improvement plans, leading problem-solving, action planning, execution reviews, and sustainment tracking; explore advanced technologies to support breakthrough results.
+ Collaborate with product engineering during design to ensure manufacturability and tooling readiness; align supply chain capabilities for successful new design launches.
+ Develop and document manufacturing processes for new and updated products; coordinate with cross-functional teams to prioritize projects and recommend equipment or tooling updates.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related Engineering field, with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
+ Experienced in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and tolerance analysis.
+ Background in complex manufacturing processes and quality systems.
+ Knowledge of FMEA, DOE, and failure analysis methodologies.
