This position is responsible for providing direct supervision and training of Incarcerated Persons working in a correctional industry setting.
_Primary responsibilities include:_
+ Provide direction and coordination to incarcerated workforce in manufacturing and/or distributing a diverse array of MINNCOR Industries products.
+ Hire, supervise, train and direct incarcerated persons for the functions of MINNCOR Industries so that a trained workforce is established, and deadlines are met.
+ Provide and interpret financial information, researching and reporting on factors that influence business performance. Ensure that data collected is reported timely and accurately.
+ Ensure safety and security through the adherence of established DOC policy, instructions, and procedures so that security in industry programming areas is always maintained.
This position has direct contact with incarcerated individuals and works within a Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)
**Minimum Qualifications**

**Position Summary:**
This position is assisting daily production, working on continuous improvement on the shop floor, managing the SCAR (supplier NCR) and the NCR linked to his/her scope of activities, assuring compliance to and providing guidance regarding interpreting ISO 13485 & FDA standards in link with the Manufacturing Quality activities.
The Manufacturing QA Technician is working with the Manufacturing QEs and the Quality inspectors (QAR).
**Key Responsibilities:**
This position is primarily responsible for:
1. Assisting daily production and participating to achieve the APU objectives determined with the Production or APU managers, relative to Quality.
2. Support efforts in order to implement LEAP principles throughout the organization, such as participating to PSM or LEAP workshop
Represent QA and report KPI during daily cross functional PSM2 meeting
1. The NCR investigation especially linked to the shop floor or the supplier, in respect with due dates defined and using problem solving tools when applicable. Working as part of a cross-functional team.
Interface with the supplier in case of SCAR. Might interface with the customer in case of complaints based on experience.
1. Interface with the QAR (QA inspector) to ensure they are properly trained, and that the documentation is accurate.
Note: In case of any issue escalated by the QAR about the DHR final acceptance and/or final CoC, the Manufacturing QA technician has authority to release or hold the DHR, approve the final CoC and/or decide the final status of the parts and release or hold the batch.
He/She can also escalate to the QE or to the QA manager.
1. Perform visual inspection, including vision system, CMM and microscope.
2. Create/Maintain updated work instructions, inspection plans, inspection work instruction. including the respect of quality requirements and standards.
Secondary responsibilities are:
1. Support Manufacturing QEs in some of the common activities or investigation.
2. Train employees in the proper use of automated inspection equipment and documentation
3. Perform basic maintenance of inspection equipment
4. Support/troubleshoot programs in production
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
10 years of experience in quality assurance working with precision tooling
Or 2-year Technical College / Machine Trades / Quality related field
+ Advanced level blueprint reading skills
+ Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
+ Competent with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), QC Calc, and ERP systems
+ Ability to perform visual inspections using microscopes
+ Good problem solving with attention to detail, and decision-making skills
+ Technical writing skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in an ISO 13485:2016 certified system.
+ Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, fixturing, and tooling.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Monitor robot throughout paint or weld process to check quality and function.
+ Resolve repetitive quality defects through investigation and corrective action.
+ Attend robotic systems training through sponsorship of MTM.
