ITW Deltar Fasteners serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners totaling approximately $200M in revenues. Units include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

**Position Summary:**
The Manufacturing Manager leads all plastics and assembly manufacturing operations at the Frankfort facility, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence through effective leadership, process optimization, and a culture of accountability. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators while implementing continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and adopting advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance performance and profitability.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
**Leadership & People Development**
+ Lead, coach, and develop shift leaders/supervisors, floor technicians, and mold technicians to build a high-performance culture.
+ Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and safety.
**Process Optimization & Efficiency**
+ Establish, document, and maintain optimum processing parameters with upper and lower control limits for process monitoring systems.
+ Drive OEE improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.
+ Analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement Lean/Six Sigma methods.
+ Coordinate first-time tool runs, mold try-outs, and full-scale production startups.
**Safety & Quality**
+ Champion a zero-incident safety culture by leading hazard assessments, corrective actions, and machine safety reviews.
+ Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer quality requirements.
+ Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to set and maintain material and process standards.
**Strategic Initiatives**
+ Develop and execute short- and long-term manufacturing improvement plans aligned with division strategy.
+ Leverage MES and other digital tools to drive data-based decision-making.
+ Stay current on emerging technologies and automation solutions to improve competitiveness.

+ BS Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics or Technology) and/or comparable work experience 3 level
+ 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing environment (including processing, material fundamentals, automation experience, molding machine and tool experience)
+ Proven leadership experience managing multi-shift manufacturing teams.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Job Description
The MIG Gun Division (Bernard / Tregaskiss) of Miller Electric, an ITW Company, is looking for a **Quality Engineer** to join our world-class team. This onsite position is located in Beecher, IL, USA.
The Quality Engineer ensures products and processes meet established standards and requirements. In this role, you will develop and implement quality control systems, conduct audits, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues to improve product quality and efficiency.
**How you will make an impact:**
**Developing and implementing quality control systems:**
+ Creating procedures, setting standards, and establishing metrics for evaluating product quality.
+ Define Quality controls for the Manufacturing Processes and maintain registers of quality controls for audit processes
+ Supervise the calibration system. Design and implement new fixtures and gauges needed for the inspection process.
+ Implement Standard Operating Procedures, training material, and visual support for Manufacturing Processes to facilitate operations
**Auditing parts and production processes:**
+ Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with work instructions, quality specifications, and SOPs.
+ Responsible for reviewing and approving all supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
+ Responsible for performing first article inspections.
**Analyzing data and identifying issues:**
+ Track quality complaints and non-conformances. Identify trends and opportunities.
+ Show improvement in overall quality through reduction in complaints, non-conformances, improvement in customer satisfaction, etc.
+ Support day to day production identifying and addressing quality issues both assembly and supplier related.
**Troubleshooting and problem-solving:**
+ Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and addressing quality complaints and compliance.
+ Issue non-conformances (SCAR - CAR) - both internally and with outside vendors. Place materials on hold as needed.
+ Conduct root cause analyses utilizing standard tools (i.e fish bone diagram, 5 whys, 8Ds) for quality and operational issues, implementing corrective actions. Follow up to determine if corrective actions have been effective.
**Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards:**
+ Lead ISO 9001:2015 efforts across the organization. This includes annual ISO audits, annual Quality Operations Procedure audits, annual cross divisional audits and management review meetings.
+ Support materials team with vendor audit program, attending and conducting audits with our top suppliers when required.
**Continuous improvement:**
+ Measure and continuously eliminate waste from the manufacturing process by implementing ITW Tool Box (Lean Practices).
+ Fully involved in CBI (customer back innovation) process for new product development and launch; including but not limited to PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, Design for Manufacturability, etc.

**Compensation Information**
The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $85,000 annually. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in scaling manufacturing processes, ensuring high quality and efficient production of our advanced medical technology products. You will work cross-functionally with R&D, quality, and supply chain teams while also guiding contract manufacturing partners to translate prototypes into production-ready builds.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
Technical Leadership & Training
- Act as the lead technical expert for all manufacturing processes across platforms.
- Train and mentor technicians, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and consistent execution of processes.
- Develop and maintain technical training programs and certification protocols for production staff.
Validation & Quality Systems Ownership
- Own and manage the Master Validation Plan, Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and other key validation documents.
- Lead and support process qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) in compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive risk assessments and root cause investigations for process-related non-conformances.
Process Documentation & Control
- Create, revise, and control detailed build instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation across all product lines to ensure consistent manufacturing practices and audit readiness.
Design for Manufacturability & Test (DFM/DFT)
- Collaborate with R&D and test engineering teams to optimize product design for manufacturability, scalability, and testability.
- Lead initiatives to enhance test coverage, reduce test cycle time, and improve diagnostic accuracy in both functional and in-line testing.
Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis

- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to streamline workflows and reduce process variation.
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Scale-Up
- Serve as the bridge between product development and manufacturing, ensuring smooth transitions from pilot builds to full-scale production.
- Develop and scale new manufacturing processes in collaboration with Contract Manufacturers (CMs), ensuring repeatability and control.
- Oversee equipment specification, procurement, installation, and validation.
Supplier & CMO Engagement
- Collaborate closely with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) to define process requirements, resolve issues, and ensure timely product delivery.
- Participate in supplier audits, technical reviews, and readiness assessments.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor process metrics (e.g., cycle time, yield, throughput) and generate regular reports to inform operational decision-making.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to maintain and improve process capability.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration
- Own and execute maintenance and calibration plans for all production and test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with calibration schedules and proper documentation to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices or electronics.
- Strong understanding of validation methodologies, quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA QSR), and GMP requirements.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, PFMEA, and root cause methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD, Minitab/JMP, MES, and ERP systems is a plus.
