_The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing operations within the Clarkston, GA site. The person hired for this position will have responsibility to develop and define critical manufacturing processes for optimal safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, who works well with associates, who is a good decision maker with the ability to collect facts and facilitate good business decisions._ _This position also requires the ability to learn and master different software and measuring systems for the process_ _._

+ _Driving scrap rate improvements through prompt corrective actions_
+ _Collaborates with other departments such as QA on improving manufacturing operations_
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
+ Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
+ One (1) year of experience with SolidWorks and/or Auto CAD
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Five (5) years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills in an aerospace/defense environment
+ Machining Experience is a plus
+ Training and experience in Lean Six Sigma/Lean/Continuous Improvement manufacturing methodologies, statistics, DOE, CMM/Programming
+ Excellent team building, interpersonal, communication, both verbal and written, prioritization, organizational and computer skills
+ Self-motivated, independent critical thinker with strong analytical, problem solving and project leadership skills
+ Green Belt / Black Belt certification
