Position Details
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: $60,000 - $100,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Set up and adjust injection molding machines (molds, temperature, pressure).
- Run test cycles and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage mold changeovers and communicate with the Production Manager.
- Oversee material drying and assist with auxiliary equipment maintenance.
- Monitor material inventory and update the Purchasing Manager.
- Perform quality checks, identify defects, and report issues.
- Troubleshoot production problems and support maintenance tasks.
- Document processes, maintain records, and support Lean Manufacturing improvements.
- Communicate mold room updates and work independently or in a team setting.
What We're Looking For
- Technical degree or vocational training (preferred).
- 5+ years of injection molding experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Windows PC applications.
- Knowledge of plastic properties.

Job Description
Injection Molding Technician
Direct Hire | Brainerd, MN | $35 - $45/hour DOQ
Summary:
Support daily injection molding operations by setting up machines, performing mold changeovers, troubleshooting process issues, and ensuring consistent part quality. Play a key role in optimizing production performance and maintaining a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Install and align molds, adjust ram stroke, set temperatures and pressures, and run test cycles.
- Perform mold and material changeovers, coordinate with Production and Quality teams.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain consistent part quality.
- Identify cosmetic or dimensional defects and take corrective action.
- Dry and handle raw materials properly; monitor inventory and communicate with Purchasing.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues; escalate when needed.
- Assist with routine mold and machine maintenance.
- Document setups and maintain accurate process records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
- 5+ years of injection molding experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with mold setups, plastic materials, and machine operation required.
- Basic PC skills (Windows environment).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Able to interpret blueprints and process documentation.
