Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations at our growing overhead material handling equipment facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production efficiency, quality, and team performance across all manufacturing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations in fabrication, assembly, and installation prep
Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians, welders, and assemblers
Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality overhead cranes, hoists, and components
Monitor KPIs and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow
Work with engineering, sales, and service departments to meet customer needs
Uphold a strong safety culture and enforce OSHA compliance
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, steel fabrication, or heavy equipment assembly
Experience in the overhead crane, hoist, or related industry is a plus
Proactive mindset with excellent communication and team-building skills
Lean/6S training or certification a bonus

* Lead, coach, and develop shift leaders/supervisors, floor technicians, and mold technicians to build a high-performance culture.

Process Optimization & Efficiency
* Establish, document, and maintain optimum processing parameters with upper and lower control limits for process monitoring systems.

Provides shop floor support to maintenance, production, and management for automation work centers in assembly and molding.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Evaluate and develop plans to improve the performance of automation equipment.
+ Works closely with all functions to improve equipment safety, quality, and performance, especially regarding the human-machine interface.
+ Provides support, staffing, and training recommendations.
+ Trains, mentors, and works closely with the automation technicians.
+ Training stakeholders on how to troubleshoot automation systems
+ Upgrading or deactivating existing automation systems
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field; Engineering, automation design or manufacturing required
+ Minimum of 5 years experience with automation, electrical and mechanical design, and fabricating experience required (preferably within the automotive industry)
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Must be organized and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
+ Proficiency with solid modeling software and the creation of shop prints - SolidWorks or Geomagic design preferred
+ Machining experience with CNC experience a plus
+ Programming experience (PLC (Allen Bradley), Fanuc, Wittman) a plus
+ Experience with hydraulics, robotics, electrical systems, automation, machine maintenance, installation, and repair, including auxiliary equipment and material fundamentals - Experience with injection molding a plus
+ Must possess exceptional mechanical skills and good visual skills for accessing the functionality of the equipment
+ Experience in adjusting vision systems, specifically Keyence and Cognex.
+ Ability to program, maintain, and adjust 6-axis and cartesian robotics

**Position Summary:**
The Manufacturing Manager leads all plastics and assembly manufacturing operations at the Frankfort facility, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence through effective leadership, process optimization, and a culture of accountability. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators while implementing continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and adopting advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance performance and profitability.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
**Leadership & People Development**
+ Lead, coach, and develop shift leaders/supervisors, floor technicians, and mold technicians to build a high-performance culture.
+ Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and safety.
**Process Optimization & Efficiency**
+ Establish, document, and maintain optimum processing parameters with upper and lower control limits for process monitoring systems.

+ Analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement Lean/Six Sigma methods.
+ Coordinate first-time tool runs, mold try-outs, and full-scale production startups.
