Compensation for the Manufacturing Technician - $17.85 Per Hour - Monday Thursday, 5am 3:30 pm - Direct Hire
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Technician
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications to cut/form parts
- Ability to use various hand tools (band saws, drills, rotary cutting disk, and air tools)
- Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present
- Visually inspect finished parts for quality
- Clean part per specifications
- Participate in continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
- Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Replace all tools and materials when job(s) are complete
- Properly dispose of any/all hazardous materials
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
- Utilize all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements for the Manufacturing Technician
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred
- Demonstrated success in production within a fast-paced, technically focused environment is essential
- Must be results-oriented and demonstrate analytical thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations

Job Description:
The Manufacturing Process Technician - Formulation, Weekday Days works in highly controlled areas and follows specific procedures for insuring product is properly compounded and preserving the sterility of aseptically manufactured products. The primary function of position is to perform all compounding duties to support SVP1 and SVP2 aseptic fill lines. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate all pieces of equipment within the compounding area. (Tanks, mixers, pumps)
- Perform equipment staging and post run activities for scheduled production run.
- Compound the various solutions manufactured in the SVP area.
- Utilize measurement devices such as scales, pH meters, and dissolved Oxygen meters.
- Perform accurately basic arithmetic functions including calculation of percentages.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures while performing all job functions.
- Document accurately production processes on issued paperwork and equipment logs.
- Acts safely protecting self, others, property and product.
- Works with pressurized systems, i.e., air, stream, and hot water.
Qualifications:

- Ability to perform basic math required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and ratios)
- Experience in chemical compounding and pharmaceutical production helpful.
- Manufacturing production and equipment operation experience is desired.
- Pharmaceutical and FDA Regulated Industry Experience desired.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40-70 pounds. Prolonged standing. Exposure to Latex and other allergens. Confined spaces. Pushing and pulling.
Shift: Weekday Day Shift
- Rotating 3-day / 4-day schedule; Monday - Wednesday & every other Thursday 6am - 6pm
- Training & Onboarding for position will be first 5 weeks:
- Week 1: New Hire Orientation Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
- Weeks 2-5: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

- Shift Differential pay is available for this position, and is determined by hours worked on selected shift.
