Manufacturing Manager

• O&Gequipment fabrication experience.
• Heavy assembly experience, both electrical (assembling the electrical control systems) and general assembly (welding nozzles, flanges, etc. to the vessel).

• Lead and organize operations across various manufacturing departments
• Manage workforce capacity, budgets, and performance to meet quality and delivery targets
• Drive safety, continuous improvement, and process efficiency initiatives
• Oversee job, space, tooling, and equipment planning to maximize productivity
• Provide leadership in employee training and development
• Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
• Review employee timecards and conduct performance reviews
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment

• 10+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years of leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge of pressure vessels, structural steel, and oil & gas processing equipment
• A strong understanding of welding, layout, and ASME/ANSI vessel and piping codes
• Experience with Lean methodologies
• A higher vocational welding background (preferred)
• Proficiency in managing MRP/ERP systems (preferred but not required)
• Experience in an ISO 9001 environment (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Development and Optimization: Design and implement new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment. Continuously improve existing processes to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address production challenges, including equipment malfunctions, quality issues, and delays. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems.
• Project Management: Lead or assist in the planning and execution of manufacturing projects, including new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on production data to monitor efficiency, identify trends, and propose improvements. Use tools like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other methodologies to optimize workflows.
• Equipment and Facility Support: Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is functioning properly. Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure uptime and minimize disruptions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing processes. Provide technical support for product design modifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of processes, equipment specifications, and process improvements. Ensure that documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of direct floor support experience in an electro-mechanical assembly and test environment

• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and blueprint reading.
• Strong understanding of basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems (including plumbing valves, regulators etc.)
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits including reading wiring / electrical diagrams
• Hands-on experience with electrical assembly including wire connection preparation, soldering, etc.
• Proven track record of fixture and production cell design to accommodate novel processing techniques
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on insights.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory standards such as ISO 9001 & 17025
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Laser and TIG welding.
• Familiarity with common programming languages and methodologies.

• On-site position in Franklin, MA, working closely with production teams and management.
• Occasional travel to vendors or other facilities may be required.

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for directing the production operations function to ensure a successful and safe manufacturing process. They will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring and coaching employees and organizing workflows. Key to their success is comprehending complex operations with the goal of ensuring the production processes are safe and deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner for our customers and patients.

Note that this position will be on 3rd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervises individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.

• Assists with the coordination of processes and assignments for individual contributors to ensure consistent delivery of work products.

• Coordinates scheduled trials and operational plans for effective launch of new products and packaging processes.

• Ensures that production issues are addressed and that work orders are completed and corrected in a timely manner.

• Maintains steady workflow and productivity and resolves operational decisions within the team.

• Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and four years’ work experience in manufacturing or a related/supporting function.
