This role is key to driving safety, quality, and efficiency while developing a high-performing production team. What You'll Do As An Operations Manager
- Oversee production scheduling, staffing, material flow, and equipment utilization
- Lead and mentor production teams across multiple shifts to hit safety, productivity, and quality targets
- Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in throughput, waste reduction, and downtime
- Enforce safety standards, OSHA compliance, and training programs
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to solve problems and improve processes
- Manage inventory and production planning to meet customer demands
- Use lean manufacturing and 5S principles to optimize workflow
- Oversee mold maintenance, material changeovers, and cycle time improvements
What You Bring As An Operations Manager
- 5+ years of leadership in plastics manufacturing (rotomolding experience strongly preferred)
- Proven success managing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Strong knowledge of rotational molding processes, materials, and equipment
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality systems, and performance metrics
- Experience implementing lean/continuous improvement practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Technical or engineering degree a plus, but not required

- Utilize outside vendors if necessary to reduce equipment downtime.
- Order and maintain the inventory of components and spare replacement parts to ensure manufacturing operation minimizes downtime.
- Assist in the preparation, execution and documentation of equipment and process validations (I.Q.'s, O.Q.'s and P.Q.'s)
- Assist in performing calibrations to appropriate production equipment.
- This would include equipment or processes requiring time, temperature, pressure, etc. inputs or outputs.
- Meet or exceed quarterly departmental goals and objectives.
- Understand and follow all departmental SOP's.
- Document and report any process deviations to team leader.
- Understand and comply with all department safety policies and procedures.
- Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other team members as necessary.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year experience with CNC and machine shop equipment, diagnosis and repair, preferred.
