Mack Industries is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing all quality control aspects of a precast concrete production facility, ensuring that all manufactured concrete components meet established industry standards and project specifications by conducting thorough inspections, testing materials, implementing quality control procedures, and training staff to maintain consistent quality throughout the production process. This position will require ACI/MCA Level 1 Certification, basic computer skills and willingness to expand on current abilities.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

• Perform pre-pour inspections on all forms, reinforcement steel and inserts in a timely manner to maintain optimized workflow
• Look for opportunities to improve materials, processes and products
• Test and inspect material and product at various stages of the production process
• Identify, document, and report any quality problems to production and the QA manager
• Read and interpret product layouts, engineering blueprints, schematic diagrams, and formula mixes
• Communicate with batch plant daily regarding mix performance and adjust as needed
• Organize and prepare documents for data entry
• Enter data into database software and check to ensure the accuracy of the data
• Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
• Perform supervisory responsibilities for QC technicians
• Perform a wide range of administrative duties
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed
• Willingness to make difficult decisions even when it’s not popular
• Employ formal problem-solving methods, strategies, and collaboration
• Perform Safety, Quality and PowerPoint presentations

Requirements

Education and Training

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance a plus but not required
• Experience can replace education
• ACI/MCA Level 1 Certification preferred but not required

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Quality Control in manufacturing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly observant, able to identify small differences in products and procedures to meet detailed standards
• Ability to multitask and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work
• Basic computer software knowledge and capacity to learn new systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Prepare Quality Control Project Plans, including Definable Features of Work, inspection requirements, and testing plan.
• Prepare appropriate, targeted field forms associated with this plan.
• Ensure compliance with Submittal requirements, including maintaining submittal logs, tracking review/approval/resubmittal, and review of technical submittals as required based on subject matter expertise.
• Assist project team in preparing RFIs as necessary.
• Implementation field 3-phase quality control processes in accordance with USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors training.
• Document field quality deficiencies, and track via Deficiency Log through closeout.
• Build the lead a QC team of subject team matter experts to execute successful job-specific QC programs.
• Work with the field team to understand the timing and rationale for quality "hold points' for inspection and testing.
• Plan with the field team to effectively implement the inspection and testing plan.
• Complete targeted Daily Quality Control Reports, notes of Preparatory and Initial Phase meetings, and reports of deficiencies. The focus must be on the features of the work inspected and tested and the results of those inspections/testing, not field productivity.
• Report on the status of quality program implementation to the Program Quality Control Manager, with copies to PM and Site Superintendent.
• Assist the project team in resolving outstanding quality concerns.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve as required on all projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Minimum 5 years construction quality control experience on construction similar to this contract.
• Required to have completed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for the contractor's course. If CQM does not have a current certification, obtain the CQM for contractor's course certification within 90 days of award.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experience with projects ranging from $1M to 30M.
• Direct experience with and/or established relationship with Federal clients.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Education and Experience

• OSHA 30.
• Broad experience in a wide range of civil, vertical construction, demolition, and environmental remediation.
• Experience with updating corporate quality plans and developing project-specific quality control inspection/testing plans and field forms for wide range of projects.
• Experience reading plans and specifications.

**What You'll Do:**

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide customer service to clients by executing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.

Shift of the Manufacturing Technician:
Fri - Mon

• 1st shift: 6am - 4:30pm
• 2nd shift: 2pm - 12:30am or 3pm-1:30am (prefer the 2pm start but can be flexible is 3 works better)
• 3rd shift: 9pm-7:30am or 10pm-8:30am

Pay Rate/Salary of the Manufacturing Technician:
$20.20/hr

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Technician:

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment for product assembly.
• Follow specifications and quality procedures to ensure product standards.
• Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
