**What You Will Be Doing**
As a Manufacturing Engineer Associate Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervision of all direct reports including career development, employee engagement, time approval, recruiting, staffing, and yearly reviews
- Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics
- Being the Assembly SME with an in-depth knowledge of associated production processes including but not limited to electro-mechanical assembly, cable/harness, and special processes to work quickly and efficiently in resolving issues
- Establishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities, equipment, and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve capacity and work-flow efficiencies throughout production
- Ensuring router/mBOM development, work instructions, tooling/fixturing, and area layout changes are completed on-time to prevent late starts and achieve targeted requirements for cost, schedule, & quality
- Maintain a technical roadmap/functional excellence plan that identifies emerging technologies to improve work efficiencies, performance, and affordability including supporting the planning, purchase, & coordinating of capital equipment
- Engaging other LM sites to develop common processes and best practices to strengthen our partnerships to achieve 1LMX mission success
- Lead the team in providing proposal basis of estimates for both non-recurring & recurring tasks and providing thorough rationale for achieving performance targets
- Overseeing Manufacturing Engineering functional processes such as machine programming, preventive maintenance, tool orders, the Build-to-Print process, MPP redline process, etc. as established by both local and Command Media procedures.
- Brief functional management, project management, senior leaders, and customers as required on process technology, product issue resolution, personnel development plans and status, organization issues/progress, etc.
