THE OPPORTUNITY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will report initially to the Chief Executive Officer and will require close collaboration with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure the effective execution of manufacturing strategies. Responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of assigned product lines, ensuring manufacturing processes deliver high-quality equipment aligned with safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Evaluate heavy equipment manufacturing and assembly processes by applying knowledge of product design, tooling, hydraulics, and material handling.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions, from prototype builds to pilot runs to full-scale production.
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing validation and testing methods, conducting line trials, and confirming manufacturing readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability, reduce defects, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Improve assembly efficiency by conducting time studies, analyzing workflow, space utilization, equipment layout, ergonomics, and material flow within large-scale assembly lines.
  • Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, optimize throughput, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Support decision-making with financial estimates by calculating production rates, labor and material costs, and resource requirements for new and existing product lines.
  • Identify and work with vendors to develop unique manufacturing solutions for equipment, fixtures, and tools.
  • Seek optimal outcomes while balancing time, budget, and resource constraints.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges, such as bottlenecks, line balance issues, and equipment utilization problems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for new manufacturing processes, engineering procedures, and operator work instructions.
  • Participate in the engineering change notice process and implement necessary changes on the manufacturing line.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, supply chain, quality, and aftermarket support, to ensure manufacturability, serviceability, and a customer-focused approach in all processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards related to safety and environmental practices in heavy equipment manufacturing.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate needs to be on-hands and collaborative. This individual will have ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and different business units, customers and vendors. The candidate will need to demonstrate success in implementing new initiatives and opportunities along with problem solving and continuously improving existing operations.


  • 3 - 4 years of practical experience in manufacturing environment including ongoing production support as well as development and implementation of new product introduction.
  • Ability to plan and execute projects with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
  • Six Sigma strategies for lean manufacturing.
  • Motivated to identify waste, propose improvements and support implementation of improvement projects.
  • Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills with the ability to build trust and credibility globally which includes winning approval from various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving non-reoccurring, unprecedented problems. Have a root cause / data driven approach to problem solving.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, create, maintain and resolve open issues, lead functional teams, financial tracking and management of program fund spending.
  • Provide leadership in execution, completing assignments and projects on time.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management or other manufacturing related curriculum.

Works independently to perform maintenance, repair, and/or modification of the plants computer driven controls systems and the plants mechanical and electrical systems. Is involved in fabrication, application, installation and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment, the installation of electrical conduit and machine/building wiring.

Manufacturing/Industrial Electrician Primary Responsibilities-
  • Adhere to all safety programs and policies.
  • Day to day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and high voltage (single/three phase) industrial electromechanical and control systems for production equipment.
  • Responsible for installing, calibrating, repairing, designing, constructing, adjusting, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of electronic equipment.
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

  • Troubleshoots, locates and isolates problems associated with electrical equipment on the Shingle line.
  • Maintains plant instrumentation such as heat controllers and recording devices, concentration transmitters, level controls, and flow control devices.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Work independently in troubleshooting and repair problems with Programmable Logic Controllers and related components when required.
  • Be able to obtain back-up PLC programs and repair from a server to reload and reboot PLC programs to restore faulted equipment.
  • Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
  • Minimal travel required for training, etc, as determined by Supervision.
  • Perform daily and down-time cleaning.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Manufacturing/Industrial Electrician Experience-
  • Experience using both DC and AC motors, VF drives and controlled systems (Allen Bradley preferred).

Job Responsibilities
General

  • Provide support to manufacturing, internal departments, senior management, sales, and external customers
  • Communicate technical results, problems, and potential solutions to senior management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve formulation problems
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues and/or customer complaints
  • Maintain formulation records, batch sheets, performance data, and testing documentation

  • Support the integration of new aerosol lines, propellant systems, and filling methods

Product Development & Formulation

  • Evaluate raw materials, propellant systems, and componentry for formulation stability and performance
  • Oversee lab testing for spray pattern, fill weight, shelf-life, packaging compatibility, and VOC content
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on new product, process development and improvements of product line
  • Identify formula adjustments, additions/deletions to products
Regulatory & Compliance
  • Ensure all products meet internal and external regulatory requirements including, but not limited to EPA, FDA, DOT, OSHA, CARB, TSCA, and any international standards
  • Review and approve COAs, batch records, and specification sheets.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labels, technical data sheets, formulation records, and regulatory documentation
  • Manage product registrations and coordinate with regulatory consultants or authorities as needed
  • Serve as ARI’s point of contact (POC) for regulatory audits and/or customer compliance reviews
Quality Assurance/Control & Continual Improvement
  • Oversee product testing, quality control, and analytical validation procedures.
  • Develop and enforce all QA/QC protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for production batches
  • Approve incoming raw materials and packaging components for use in production
  • Collaborate with operations to optimize line performance, reduce waste, and troubleshoot fill or valve issues
  • Research and introduce developments in raw materials and technologies to enhance product performance and reduce costs
Safety & Environmental
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of flammable, pressurized, or hazardous materials.
  • Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives related to VOCs, HAPs, and waste
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aerosol industry or related manufacturing sector
  • In-depth knowledge of aerosol formulations, propellants (LPG, HFCs, DME, CO₂, N₂), valve systems, and filling equipment.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements applicable to aerosol products.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and customers.
Skills & Competencies
  • Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or other quality systems
  • Working knowledge of lab instrumentation (GC, FTIR, viscometers, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience managing a team or lab department
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, FDA, and DOT compliance

  • Working knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies and experience in leading change.
  • Analytical thinker with a strong basis on data gathering and analysis.
  • Energetic, organized and ability to manage a wide range of projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communicator and understanding of importance to ‘do what you say’.
  • Familiarity of ERP systems and methods of scheduling, inventory and shipping.

Job Description

The first line in trouble shooting and repair of plastic injection molding equipment.  In addition, this Technician will foster an environment of continuous improvement and team work.

  • Analyze and resolve root causes for ongoing quality issues as they relate to assembly, mold or molding processes including all other supporting technical processes
  • Communicate technical status updates to Supervisor Production/Head of Production Unit & Head of Maintenance
  • Provide production planning process based on the customer needs, machine assignment, press and mold availabilities
  • Build the technical strength of the team through hands on training

MECHANICAL AND ELECTROMECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

  • Repair/replace brakes & clutches, gears, belts, sheaves/pulley, chains and sprockets, cams, seals and o-rings, bearings and bushings.  Replace couplings and valves (cut-off, pressure relief, etc).
  • Troubleshoot/repair/replace, gears, cams, seals, o-rings, bearings, bushings, shafts and motors.  
  • Troubleshoot/maintain chains and sprockets. Perform basic alignment.
  • Maintain couplings and fans.
  • Install/maintain valves (cut-off, pressure relief, etc).

PNEUMATIC/HYDRAULIC EQUIPMENT

  • Troubleshoot/repair/replace cylinders and pneumatic/hydraulic motors.  
  • Maintain hydraulic systems, pumps and valves.
  • Repair/replace pneumatic/hydraulic lines, hoses, and solenoids.
  • Repair/replace flow controls (pneumatic or hydraulic).
  • Troubleshoot/maintain air compressors.

CONVEYING SYSTEMS

  • Troubleshoot/repair/replace/maintain vibratory, linear motion, and material conveying systems. Repair/replace belt conveyor systems.

PUMPS SYSTEMS AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

  • Troubleshoot/maintain centrifugal, vacuum, gear, diaphragm, positive displacement and metering pumps.
  • Perform alignment.
  • Maintain heat exchanger and pipe insulation systems.

MECHANICAL OPERATIONS

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks, sheet metal fabrication, pipefitting duties and rigging tasks.
  • Perform basic math operations.
  • Operate common hand and power tools, use measuring devices and precision devices.

ELECTRICAL, POWER DISTRIBUTION AND ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS

  • Apply knowledge of AC theory and run wire and conduit.
  • Install/repair basic AC and DC controls, building electrical systems.
  • Operate electrical test equipment.
  • Fabricate/retrofit electrical control panels.
  • Repair ground fault detection systems.
  • Repair/replace low voltage transformers <480 and replace fuses and breakers (<600 V).
  • Repair/replace AC motors, starters and relays.
  • Maintain ground fault detection system.

MACHINE AND PROCESS CONTROLS

  • Modify ladder logic and edit PLC software.
  • Troubleshoot/replace/install circuit boards.
  • Install/maintain/troubleshoot photo eyes and basic VFD drives (Variable Frequency Drive).
  • Install/maintain/troubleshoot limit and proximity switches & bar code readers.
  • Calibrate/install/repair basic flow and density, temperature, pressure transmitters, gages and switches
  • Calibrate proportional control valves and process control loop (PID).
  • Install/calibrate load cells.
  • Troubleshoot/replace transducers.
  • Align and replace photo eyes.
  • Install load cells.
  • Repair/replace VFD drives (Variable Frequency Drive), limit and proximity switches.
  • Repair flow, pressure, and speed transmitters, gages and switches.
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years maintenance/technical experience within a plastic injection molding facility.
  • Requires a minimum of 2-year mechanical/electrical experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years general preventative maintenance experience in medical injection molding industry.
  • Experienced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice within the Medical or Food Industry.
  • Experience working in a fast paced operational environment with constant interaction with operators, technicians and equipment.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting of processes and process equipment
  • Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and schematics.
