Job DescriptionSUMMARY: Inspect and inventory fresh and non-perishable in-bound produce to insure freshness before distribution to member stores.This position supports AWG's mission to remain firmly committed to our long-established mission statement:"Our mission is to ensure the success of our member retailers and provide opportunities to our employees. This will be accomplished by satisfying the customers', and our member retailers', needs for quality supermarket merchandise and superior support services. We will do this with high quality employees whose mission is to provide the lowest possible cost of goods in order to ensure our members profitability, competitiveness and continued growth."ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. The list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but are intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.1. Inspect all incoming product to meet established USDA and AWG standards.2. With coordination of department manager and buying staff, authority to reject product if it fails to meet established standards.3. Order and ripen bananas. 4. Observe the bananas being selected to insure product shipped is from the proper banana rooms and is properly covered.5. Monitor reserve stock verifying that proper rotation procedures have been observed.6. Monitor merchandise in picking slots and reserve in order to check product age and insure that slots contain the correct item.7. Examine damaged cases and repair if possible.8. Turn in a brief summary report of daily inspection activities to the Sr. Buyer.9. Examine returned merchandise and determine disposition of product.10. Locate pilferage areas and report them to Buyers.11. Monitor proper temperature control throughout the warehouse.12. Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.13. This position requires strong communication and computer skills with the ability to use and learn new technology. The Flawless Execution method will be utilized in all planning and communication. Management will be kept informed on planning, analysis, work performed and results. All records required by management must be complete, accurate and submitted on time.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Support Team Member (Entry-Level) to build aerospace hardware for multiple spaceflight programs. The candidate should have the ability to work well as a team member, manage and build relationships, follow verbal/written instructions, work with a safety conscious behavior and provide support for both the Michoud Assembly Facility/Stennis Space Flight Center in Mississippi.
They will be expected to prioritize their workload in order to meet deliverable timelines and utilize problem solving techniques to solve machining and process related problems. This position requires a variety of machinist skills to support multiple aerospace programs. The candidate must possess at least 1-2 years of machinist/programmer experience. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of:
- Ability to work independently and as a group with little guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
- Ability to interpret drawings, and transpose those requirements into programming for CNC Machines.
**Basic Qualifications:**
- Must possess at least 1-2 years of machinist/programmer experience
- Experience in programming and set-up of CNC Machines.
- Experience programming with G-code.
- Experience operating manual/automated lathes, horizontal turning and Bridgeport mills.
- Experience with 3-axis machine set-up and operations.
- Experience Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
**Desired Skills:**
- Knowledge of a Mastercam
- Detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with development programs and/or conceptual designs
- Experience in creating labor and materials estimates for new work
- Experience utilizing general shop equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, torque wrenches, etc.
- Knowledge of production control system(s) to track product workflow
- Experience working with Government customers
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
