Education:
- 2 years Technical Degree or apprenticeship in Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical Field of study Preferred

Saint-Gobain is seeking a skilled team player to join our dynamic Maintenance group in Hoosick Falls, New York. The Instrumentation &; Controls Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the production equipment to ensure minimal production down-time and a safe work environment.
Candidate should be able to install, setup and troubleshoot temperature, speed, weight, pressure, flow and thickness sensing instrumentation. Able to monitor and troubleshoot controls using programmable logic controllers. Set up and tune loop controllers and PID loops. Maintenance and repair of electrical industrial control systems. Production equipment includes; material handling, bulk chemical systems, batch mixing, web coaters, extruding, converting and packaging equipment.
The Instrumentation &; Controls Technician is also responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the facilities equipment such as: HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, motors, pollution control equipment, life safety, electrical power distribution, network, hoists, docks and automated doors.
The position requires scheduled shift work, weekend work and emergency call-ins during off shifts to support production. The Technician will report into the Maintenance Supervisor.
We seek candidates with the following knowledge, skills & abilities:
+ Associate's Degree or equivalent in industrial, electrical, electronic or instrumentation technologies preferred - will consider those with HS Diploma or GED along with a minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance

**You will contribute by:**
+ Collaborating with the supervisor to distribute daily assignments to ICQA Specialists and Auditors. Supporting the supervisor by monitoring task execution throughout the shift and making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient workflow
+ Leading and working with the team to perform the necessary ICQA functions to include auditing, counting and quality management.
+ Training and developing ICQA Specialists and Auditors, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
+ Preparing and submitting start and end-of-shift reports, including current shrink data and audit results, to provide a clear overview of the shift's performance
+ Addressing and correcting any product placement errors identified during slot verification counts and selection audits to maintain inventory integrity
+ Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the ICQA department and business

**You will contribute by:**
+ Conducting accurate cycle count of inventory locations using the appropriate tools (computers, handheld devices, forms, etc.) in the warehouse and make system updates as required
+ Researching and processing problem pallets and unlocated inventory. Identified errors to be listed on the error log as directed by supervisor.
+ Validating dating of product in the warehouse and update as required
+ Daily audit of inbound receiving. Identify and complete root cause research of variances and report errors found to Operations partners.
+ Responding to buyer requests for item checks and internal code to code transfers in the warehouse
+ Coordinating the handling of obsolete and at risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls) to include: identifying, communicating, adjusting and validating product

+ Validate physical product matches the customer order using a handheld scanner. Product is scanned and compared to system billed quantity. Scan and unload product to the floor performing a physical count to the scanner count. All errors found are root caused by reviewing actual and surrounding pick slots. All mis-select errors and shortages are corrected as necessary based on the customer contract. After audit is validated product is reloaded onto pallet and returned to dock or trailer.
+ Carry out quality checks related to pallet construction. Product wrapped, stacked and positioned well on pallet and in good condition
+ Unload pallets by operating electronic pallet jack or identify random pallet not yet loaded for audit.
