A growing industrial organization is seeking a Estimator (Manufacturing) to support estimating functions across machining and metal fabrication operations. This role involves analyzing technical documentation to develop accurate cost estimates that align with internal capabilities and customer requirements. The Estimator works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive pricing and efficient production planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop detailed estimates for materials, labor, and time.
  • Assess internal resources versus outsourcing needs for machining, welding, forming, and finishing processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.
  • Generate and submit accurate and timely cost proposals.
  • Maintain and update estimating tools, pricing data, and historical job costing records.
  • Communicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders for pricing, lead times, and technical clarifications.
  • Participate in job reviews to identify opportunities for improving future estimating accuracy and project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Background in machining and/or metal fabrication environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machining processes, weldments, and fabrication methods.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP or estimating software is a plus.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication abilities.

What You Will Do

Shift: 12 Hour Rotating Nights, 5pm - 5am + 14% shift differential

One week you would work two days on, two days off and three days on, the following week you would work two days off, two days on and three days off.

  • Set up jobs for pad printers, assembly lines, and any other finishing/assembly operations
  • Perform general preventive maintenance on sonic welders, pad printers, assembly lines, and any other finishing/assembly equipment
  • Complete set-up and/or parameter sheets and other recordkeeping as required
  • Communicate changes/issues with team leader and technicians on other shifts
  • Work alongside maintenance and engineering technicians while trouble shooting and correcting issues on equipment

  • Ensure a high level of safety for self and co-workers

Position Summary:

This role assists the manager in leading the fabrication team and will ensure work is properly assigned to the team. This includes communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must possess a two-year technical degree in machining or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines or have an overall 7+ years of work experience in CNC machining.
  • Operating knowledge of 5-axis milling.
  • Proficient in machine programming (i.e. G-code, M-code, conversational).
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Experience programming and operating CNC lathes, Mills and surface & cylindrical grinders.

Preferred Qualifications :
  • SAP and ERP knowledge or experience.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning/Forecasting, Inventory /Production Planning, Finite scheduling and knowledge of Lean logistics concepts.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of fabrication and production equipment, including CNC machines, manual mills, lathes, and other shop tools. The Manufacturing Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting HR functions. Your duties will include managing employee relations, facilitating the recruitment process, administering HR policies and procedures, and providing guidance on HR-related matters.

You collaborate closely with members of the HR team to ensure policies and practices are efficiently delivered to employees. Additionally, you will handle employee records and provide excellent support to employee relations measures.

A Day in the Life…

  • Implement the recruitment activities of the assigned business units to ensure adequate staffing (partnering with Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, agencies, recruiters, and others) including managing the entire staffing process from inception to the on-boarding process.
  • Assist in establishment and implementation of HR processes, programs, and training.
  • Executes HR administrative paperwork to insure key employee information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Partners with other HR professionals on compensation, benefits, management development, training, performance management, and other key issues for supported employee groups, and carries out specific deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Handles employee relations issues within defined business units confidentially by providing excellent customer service through availability, responsiveness, and follow through.

Position Summary:

This position is key to our success as a company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing KPI's, people, projects, and technical directions to ensure the successful delivery of established quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing "Frist in Class" quality control systems, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, along with determining and implementing corrective actions. A strong desire and experience of building, leading and mentoring teams will be essential for the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control Systems Development: Develop and implement quality control systems and measures across all areas of the company.

KPI Development, Tracking and Accountability: Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team and project performance. Partner to track progress against KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Hold team members accountable for meeting performance goals and objectives.

Project & Process Management: Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Lead planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engineering projects and drawings. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality and Sales.

Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met and repeatable.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency by collaborating with the Operations Leadership teams.

Staff Coordination: Coordinate and manage staff members in the quality control department.

Communication: Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.

Training: Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures.

Reporting: Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.

Research: Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.

Training Needs: Identify and implement training needs for the production team to meet quality standards.

Problem Resolution: Resolve production and manufacturing problems to minimize cost and delay.

Warranty Claims: Manage warranty claims and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

Mentoring: Mentor and develop the quality control team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.

Team Development: Lead team development initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Skills: Strong understanding of quality control procedures and protocols, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, proficient in quality management software and tools, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience in heavy fabrication.

Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Promoting a culture of safety within the team. Addressing safety concerns promptly and effectively. Providing safety training and resources for employees.
