Job Description:

SUMMARY

Plansand delivers curriculum within the Precision Manufacturing Technology programbased on established standards. Teaches a full range of noncredit lecture andlab courses in the Precision Machining Technology programs. Courses include,but are not limited to: Blueprint Reading, Spatial Visualization, Applied(Machining) Math, Manual Machining, CNC

Machining, Machine Tool Theory,CAD/CAM, and Quality Control. Performs student learning outcome assessment tomake continuous improvements in learning outcomes. Actively engages in thepromotion of workplace health and safety-related areas. Collaborates with otherinstructors and staff to provide appropriate learning opportunities forstudents.

Monitors students while they practice within the machining lab.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

  • Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes
  • Provides a learning environment appropriate for enhancing academic progress
  • Provides instructional methodologies consistent with student needs within the program guidelines
  • Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
  • Provides well defined goals for student achievement
  • Evaluates and grades student's class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
  • Maintains up-to-date academic and attendance records in compliance with school and regulatory organization policies and guidelines
  • Fosters effective communication between students, staff, and administration
  • Periodically meets with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training development

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering or manufacturing/industrial engineering technology
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience as a machinist or other related role within industry

Job Description

We are looking for skilled Manufacturing Technicians with at least 1 year of experience in a production environment at our facility in Medina, OH.

Our technicians are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

What Manufacturing Technicians do:

  • Operating extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing production machines and equipment.

  • Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.

  • Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.

  • Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).

  • Teaming up with your co-workers to find smarter ways to do things. 

What’s needed to be a Manufacturing Technician?

  • Mechanical inclination – you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.

  • At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.  

  • Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!

  • Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!

  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
