In this role, you will manage day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring goals are accomplished and effective communication occurs within the group and across all functions/shifts. You will provide leadership, employee career development, and coaching support to the manufacturing team, while overseeing material flows, manufacturing operations, and supervising various teams.

• The Global Integrated Engineering Program Manager is entrusted with leading programs and large-scale projects from start to finish, with a focus on enhancing harmonization, effective governance, and timely completion.
• This role involves managing resources and funding, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• One of the key responsibilities includes identifying and closing pending activities before gate reviews to ensure prompt and efficient completion.
• Additionally, the Program Manager regularly communicates program updates to functional management and executive leadership and conducts postmortem project evaluations to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
• The projects managed by this role span various types including capacity, sustaining, compliance, safety, digitalization, architecture, New Product Development (NPD), Change to Win (CTW), crisis management, retrofit, and facilities.

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the vertical startup of high-speed manufacturing lines. This role focuses on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet business objectives within a 12-week timeline. You will provide hands-on engineering support during startup and post-go-live phases, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing production disruptions.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Operates, sets-up, adjusts, changeovers/troubleshoots and repairs/maintains all departmental production equipment.
+ Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operation.
+ Provides informal leadership in a team environment.
+ Trains and advises TA and fellow associates on proper set-ups and repairs of equipment.
+ Trains Technical Associates in methodical problem-solving techniques.
+ Collaborate with engineering and Automation Control Technicians to direct the completion of required projects.
+ Uses available resources: engineering, machine shop, production and maintenance departments as required.
+ Organizes and directs improvement projects to increase equipment utilization and done in conjunction with area engineers, manufacturing supervisor and other resources that may be required.
+ Audits preventative maintenance (PM) procedures and activities of Technical Associates and other operations associates.
+ Documents electronically PM audits to supervisor for corrective actions.
+ Analyzes equipment failures for frequency of failure to modify/update PM work order.
+ Sets up and debugs equipment to documented specifications.
+ Deviations from these specifications must be cleared up with the supervisor or Engineering.
+ Maintains equipment in working order to produce products within specified quality and quantity limits, adjusting, troubleshooting, cleaning and repairing as necessary.
+ Maintains equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
+ MUST have clear and legible handwriting.
+ Repairs equipment and reports major problems to the supervisor.
+ Coordinates maintenance activities with the Maintenance Department, Engineering, or other technical resources, as needed for major repair/production issues.
+ Performs preventative maintenance on the equipment as specified in the PM program or as needed for smooth operation.
+ Tracks and audits PMs to ensure they are completed and closed out in the SAP system.
+ Turns on machines and ensures proper functioning of machines and control panels.
+ Makes certain safety guards are in position and working properly.
+ Verifies that part tracks/rails are clean to ensure free travel of all component parts.
+ Monitors production machinery as needed to ensure top performance.
**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Supports all upstream and downstream operations.
+ Maintains toolbox and surrounding area neat and clean.
+ Verifies that equipment-surrounding areas are clean during the shift.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required**
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Associate's degree (Major: Advanced Mechatronics Technology) preferred
+ Completed coursework in the following subjects is preferred (relevant experience may be substituted for individual courses):

**Experience and Knowledge**
+ Mechanical Proficiency and Experience required
+ Proficient with basic hand tools.

+ Minimum of 1 year as Set-up, Technical Associate role or equivalent.
+ Must possess foundational knowledge with troubleshooting cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, vacuum systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and ball-valves.

+ **Environmental Exposure:** May be exposed to elevated temperatures (cool/warm), humidity, loud noise levels (hearing protection required), and chemical substances (with appropriate PPE).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Must have experience in these areas:

Purchasing: Responsible for the purchasing of all raw materials , component parts, MRO materials and capital equipment required to meet production schedules and to support plant operations.

• Oversees the issuing of purchase orders and change notices as required for materials and components and the establishing of proper lead times to obtain adequate supplies to meet manufacturing production schedules.
• Guides and coordinates Purchasing and Supplier Quality personnel toward quick and efficient corrective action processing of non-conforming raw materials.

Planning: Ensures validity of demands by attending demand debrief and asking for regional rationales justifying certain changes.

• Aligns with Global Supply Chain groups on volume or mix.
• Makes recommendations for schedule changes that optimize equipment, personnel , materials, and time.
• Facilitates planning discussions with global supply chain to find ultimate balance between plant efficiencies and forecast / global supply chain requests.
• Reviews master production schedules driven from the SCM (Supply Chain Management ) system and managed by the plant
• Reviews global requirements for the Rubber and Injection Molding departments to ensure that both in-house and sister sites requirements are supported.
• If materials are One Company Procurement managed, works in conjunction with OCP to identify suppliers that meet these goals.
• Consolidates world-wide demand for cannula and works with Medical Segment to ensure that capacities are in place to meet out year demand.

Master Data Management: Understands production control systems and functions to setup and maintain schedules and to record and report all associated activities.

• Manages development and implementation of procedures, practices, work flows, and the sequence of operations to obtain maximum efficiency, accuracy in the performance of duties.
• Control documentation as required to ensure that the efficient and underlying operation of the department will meet ISO/QSR/SOX requirements.

Product Sorting: Process owner responsible for optimizing the disposition of nonconforming material across business units and in coordination with quality.

• Calls out and coaches on standard process to minimize inventory stuck at the plant.

Sterilization: Responsible for maintaining appropriate talent, support & coordination to protect the plants bottleneck that is our on-site Gamma sterilizer.

• Liaise with corporate functions such as Sterilization Assurance or Microbiology Lab groups to identify/share standard processes, get appropriate support & perspective from global network.

Shipping: Responsible for maintaining appropriate talent, support & coordination in order to protect the flow of products out of the plant to the appropriate DC’s / plant.

End to End Supply Chain Leadership: Has direct supervision of 3 Managers, who respectively have responsibility for the Inbound, Outbound and Planning aspect of the whole Supply Chain.

• Coach, support and challenge them towards improvement in each area.
• Facilitate alliances between the groups and ensure their work environment is fair & fulfilling.
• Highlights changes and presents the plant-wide capacity outlook for the whole facility.
• Filters, reports or explains information about business performance / marketing strategies with plant LT in order to maintain a strategic alignment between the plant and the BUs.
• Works with Business Integrators on strategic projects such as manufacturing transfers, make vs. buy assessments, risk mitigation, business continuity exercises, etc.
• Responsible for the Supply Chain exempt personnel , including employee coaching, counseling, training, performance management and development.
• Networks with central functions to stay in touch w initiatives such as Control Tower and get central support for transformation projects such as digitalization of data or processes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience performing in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum of 15 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Effective negotiation skills to support the purchasing process
• Proficient with SAP and APRISO systems
