Summary
We have an immediate need for a full-time Manufacturing Painter at our drives manufacturing facility in West Jordan, UT. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
Some of the work you will do:
- Applying coatings as specified on OEM equipment.
- Tracking inventory of paint, tapes, paper, etc.
- Sandblasting scheduling to ensure painting and delivery dates are met.
- Maintenance of booths, ensuring proper operation creating a safe environment.
- Maintaining and cleaning of painting tools and equipment.
- Work with machining & fabrication departments to identify any scheduling conflicts while adapting to create a smooth work flow.
- Work with in-house and third party inspectors confirming specifications are adhered to.
- Understand and operate testing equipment i.e. profile gauge, mil test gauge, humidity gauge.
- Completing coating reports.
- Working with customers.
- Basic understanding of sandblasting and medias used.
- One or more years of industrial coatings experience
- Experience or knowledge of the appropriate rigging of equipment
- Ability to meet required driving eligibility criteria, verified through an initial and ongoing Motor Vehicle Record request.
- Ability to pass a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test), as needed, to be certified as able to wear a respirator
- Ability to operate a fork lift/lift truck.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane.
- Ability to work and stay on task with minimal supervision
- Meticulous and detail oriented.
- Expected to arrive on time every day scheduled.
- Experience applying coatings on multiple types of steel.
- Experience in the application of epoxies, urethanes, and/or zincs.
- Must be able to move about facility, spend long amounts of time working with hands and close vision

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the vertical startup of high-speed manufacturing lines, ensuring seamless equipment integration and optimization. This role requires hands-on support during startup and post-go-live phases, with a focus on achieving operational efficiency and sustainable performance improvements.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the vertical startup of high-speed manufacturing lines, aiming for OEE improvements to meet business objectives within a compressed timeline.
+ Develop and support documentation, training plans, and knowledge transfer for a seamless handover to operations.
+ Act as the on-site engineering lead during startup and post-go-live phases, providing hands-on support and resolving equipment, software, and process issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
+ Monitor OEE and other key performance indicators to drive improvements during the ramp-up phase.
+ Conduct loss landscape analysis and develop glidepaths for performance targets.
+ Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to align cross-functional teams on glidepath execution.
+ Support the implementation of cross-functional training, centerlining, and standard work practices.
+ Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure sustainable performance gains.
+ Partner with site operations, quality, maintenance, global design engineers, and external vendors to provide technical expertise, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support integration reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Manufacturing engineering experience
+ Process improvement expertise
+ Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
+ Hands-on experience with vertical startups, commissioning, and validation of automated systems
+ Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS standards, LOTO, machine safeguarding, and regulated manufacturing environments

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing and capital equipment integration
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field)
+ Background in medical device, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing environments
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, centerlining, and OEE tools
+ Proficiency in scientific problem-solving methods (e.g., DoE, KPIV/KPOV analysis)

**Responsibilities:**
+ Attend Tier 1 and Production Analysis Board (PAB) meetings providing line team with status of line and agree on resource deployment and timings to close losses.
+ Resolve repeat loss issues using systematic problem-solving techniques to determine root cause.
+ Support Shift Technicians in Investigation of losses (Breakdowns, Waste, Speed) to ensure countermeasure is effective.
+ Support all CI projects/validations as required to help improve equipment reliability.
+ Engage with Operators and Technicians to effectively use Daily Task Maintenance and Planned and Preventative Maintenance to increase OEE and safety performance.
+ Provide details to improve Maintenance Standards and execution (Frequency, Breakdowns and Repairs) to Reliability Leader based on problem solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activity.
+ Engage in planning process for Maintenance activities.
+ Lead Maintenance activity for respective line in conjunction with Preventative Maintenance Leader.
+ Maintain critical equipment settings, standards and close loop on changes made.
+ Ensure all preventative maintenance activities are performed effectively, including opportunistic maintenance working with Preventative Maintenance Leader to plan same.
+ Report and action any abnormalities observed during Daily Task Maintenance / Planned Preventative Maintenance to reduce losses.
+ Record spares used during maintenance / unplanned breakdowns in line Maintenance requirements and record maintenance details in full on the designated forms/ SAP.
+ Responsible for equipment breakdown response and escalation process in an expedient manner.
+ Mentor Technicians and Operators in quality and effectiveness of problem-solving tools, robustness of countermeasures, continuous improvement methodologies & tools and DTM/ PPM Maintenance activities and standards.
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ 3 years' experience with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment
